Remember 2009-2010 when the filibuster was insurmountable? Democrats needed one vote to have a filibuster-proof supermajority, but couldn't get it. So now we have a corporate handout (Obamacare) instead of real health care reform. Fake democracy much?

And that one vote... should have come from Massachusetts. Except that the Democrats somehow inexplicably could not get a Democrat elected in Massachusetts to replace Ted Kennedy.
Which sounds more plausible... the Obama-shill line (OMG filibuster!), or that the Democrats wanted to keep the money stream flowing for their loyal lobbyists?
Media memory hole much?

I don't understand the complaint.
Both sides - both - hand taxpayer money to the wealthy and corporations. The democrats do it in a way that sometimes can be spun as helpful to the common man - "Obamacare". Republicans give no fucks and simply hand billions directly to defense contractors and big oil.
In the end, the difference is nil.

I never really understood why the President didn't ask for a single payer system. That's what we need.

After all, they've proved their competence now. Hand them the keys to the car and the liquor cabinet.
This is why the country is doomed...

So you're saying single payer would be worse than Obamacare of what we had before Obamacare?

I am totally satisfied at you will not be part of the equation long, because a person stupid enough to give incompetent people more power will get run over at a railroad crossing or some other stupid but preventable tragedy, before long.

Oh so you can't debate on topic, fuck off, moron.

Here's the problem, this is what I'm debating:
BananaPeel: "I think if people fuck up royally, break promises, and act tremendously incompetent, they should be punished with even more power and control over all of us."
There's no debating that. Your mental process is fucked. It'd be like explaining starships to a Neanderthal man.

No the problem is that you you are too incompetent to articulate the point you are trying to make, if you even have one. I asked you a basic question, since you are too high and mighty to answer it, leave me the fuck alone.

You can thank big Insurance and their former tool, Joe Liebermann. The Mass election did not matter.

We didn't want a Democrat to replace Teddy. The blame does not rest on us.
