Menachem Begin (Israeli Prime Minister, 1977-1983): "Our race is the Master Race. We are divine gods on this planet. We are as different from the inferior races as they are from insects-"

"Our race is the Master Race. We are divine gods on this planet. We are as different from the inferior races as they are from insects. In fact, compared to our race, other races are beasts and animals, cattle at best. Other races are considered as human excrement. Our destiny is to rule over the inferior races. Our earthly kingdom will be ruled by our leader with a rod of iron. The masses will lick our feet and serve us as our slaves." -- Menachem Begin (Israeli Prime Minister, 1977-1983. Nobel Prize Winner for...Peace!)

At least I don't launch laser-guided missiles at shelters and hospitals.

"inferior races"
Boy it sure seems that this is the overarching sentiment for so many people. Everytime I hear it all I can think of is all of the brilliant people from each race and how laughable this very notion is.
Then when I think further on the topic I am forced to lament for the pitiful people who think in this manner; for what kind of human am I if I am unwilling to help and guide my brothers and sisters who were born less intelligent, less ambitious, less strong, less fortunate?

"They are beasts walking on two legs." --In a speech to the Knesset (24 June 1982), quoted in "Begin and the 'Beasts" ivy Amnon Kapeliouk, in The New Statesman (25 June 1982); some accounts claim that Begin was referring to Palestinians in general, others that he refers only to Palestinian terrorists. http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Menachem_Begin

Amnon Kapeliouk's article "Begin and the Beasts" (New Statesman, June 25, 1982)

This source claims that those words were not in Amnon Kapeliouk's article. Actually Kapeliouk said something else, which is also debatable.

I don't know if that blogspot is more legitimate than the article.

This is a problem on the Internet. It's hard to tell what is true. That is why I said "This source claims..."

It's a problem with everything, really. We're always relying on someone else's word when we need a source. :s

Also, this comment in a Yale published book: "Yet Ben Gurion had not forgotten Begin's threats, even a decade later, as indicated in a letter he wrote to poet Chaim Guri: 'Begin is a distinctively Hitleristic type...'" http://alturl.com/4vzwv

I'm sure the most superior race isn't the most persecuted race. Even with jealousy, the reason that makes you divine can withhold all jealousy by others. In this case, they were heavily persecuted because they fucked with governments. A bit over the top, but ignorance towards others brings ignorance towards you.

Aaaaaand he's been rotting in a grave for 20+ years now. Goodbye, Mr. Begin. Au revoir. Arrivederci. Auf Weidersehen. Adios. Goodbye and good riddance.
