Agent provocateurs (under cover cops/agents) at protests - there to incite crowds to riot, loot and disrupt peaceful protest so that the cops can shut down protest

This sort of stuff will be nothing new to many in this sub.
However in the light of undercover agents being caught at Oakland protest I thought it useful to post a few reminders of times when agents have been caught doing this shit before.

If they're successful enough at it, a good case can be made for taking away the citizen's rights to bear arms AND to protest.
Two big sticking points for the fascist monarchy trying to take over the country right now.

It's standard operating procedure for police to infiltrate and escalate.
The last time I marched, me and my friends beat the shit out of some "black bloc" posers (obvious provocateurs). Hours later a couple of us were arrested, picked out of a crowd, for assault and battery on an LEO. Funny thing was I wore sap gloves and really fucked one of the guys up...at the very least I fractured his jaw..maybe broke his arm... When I was arrested, never charged, I had the biggest grin on my face. I got to beat the shit out of a cop...with no recourse. I don't protest anymore...not until heavily armed peaceful protest become a thing...until then, I'm retired.
Great post, btw.

We got a tough guy over here!

Yeah what you claim to have done isn't protest.
Not that I believe you for a second.

It most certainly was a protest. But you already know that....

No, that was assault. And you're pleased you got to assault someone without consequence.
Jerk.

Pleased is an understatement...of course, context is everything...I think he was the jerk and deserved what he got. If it was your car he kicked and keyed, or your store window he smashed...or the girl who was pushed around for confronting them...you might feel differently. He called my friend a fag and I beat him unconscious. It was a jerk move. I was young and stupid..and lucky, I could have killed him and be sitting in jail today. I know better now. That's why I have my CWL.

Right

Check out how much this used to occur, specifically back in the 60s and 70s. COINTELPRO and, of course, the FBI are probably the main culprits from what I've seen.

Familiar with Kent State?
'The other major piece of Kent State evidence identified in Allen’s analysis was the “sound of sniper fire” recorded on the tape. These sounds point to Terry Norman, FBI informant and provocateur, who was believed to have fired his low-caliber pistol four times, just seventy seconds before the command-to-fire.'

Ah yes. Good link. Tried to keep the post about more recent examples as some people might think/claim that sort of thing wouldn't happen now.
Have you heard of Tommy the Traveller?
This is also a great article Tomgram: Todd Gitlin, Are "Intelligence" and Instigation Running Riot?.

I think the history is useful. One great advantage it has is that the facts are no longer controversial.
If people learned, for example, that 20% of KKK members were FBI in the 60s, they might be less shocked at what goes on today.

Yes, exactly, I feel like facts like these have mostly been lost in the common person's (specifically young peoples') understanding these days - and very much by design.

I didn't have time to watch these all but did I miss one where the police actually started something? suspicious guys in masks down count as police in my book. I'm having a real hard time believing a cop will start some shit that may cause his fellow cops to get hurt.
For reference of what I watched: I got down through the Oakland one I didn't watch many of the London ones either.

Would you please share any evidence or proof that any of the people in these videos are members of law enforcement?

Seems to be a staple of police forces all over the world. It has happened in Brazil, in last year's protests too
