I hate being part of this.

I hate being a part of the prison industrial complex. I hate that I have killed over a million people due to my lack of action. I hate every moment of it. I want it to stop so fucking badly. I'm so frustrated that America won't stop killing people, Americans or otherwise, in my name. Please. Just stop.

It's not your fault. You're responsible for yourself.

Don't be discouraged, citizen.
There are men and women working in the shadows to guide us in a new direction. We are building our numbers and organizing.
Whether you know it or not, you have already been recruited into our organization and will become a vital asset in Operation: Critical Mass.
Your first mission as an Agent of the American People is to convince your friends and family that (1) 9/11 was an 'inside job' and (2) Democrats and Republicans are controlled by elite interests who do not have our best interests at heart.
If you run into trouble, consult the field manuals provided by the Internet.
Good luck in the field, Agent.

The Counter-Panopticon.

The Decentralized Intelligence Agency.
Reverse-Psychological warfare.
In any language, it means...
Fighting fire with fire.

Antimuslimism

I might just use that one next time I see a -phobe.
1 V1NC3NZ0 2015-01-14
I have decided from now on to use it, or a variation of it, anytime I see racist remarks. I think either racism should be labeled as just that (Racism), or each race or group gets anti-(insert race/group here)-ism.
I mean, why have different rules for different people? That just harbours division.
1 Canadian_POG 2015-01-14
Yeah that works, as long as one is not doing so in order to deflect a conversation, and as long as it can be worded delicately.
I feel I should note I was referring to the Islamophobia that I notice is so prominent on Reddit in general lately, that doesn't seem to have nearly the attention other forms of bigotry get called out for.

If not delicately then at least contextually. I would rather that the hypocrisy be seen than to sugar coat it.

Fair enough.

Just skip the 9/11 part. That turns a lot of people off of whatever else you have to say.
0 last1ofthejedi 2015-01-14
You know ppl that think 9/11 was ligit dudes half way around the world in a cave? I ask because I don't, and I'm hardly surround by "conspiracy" minded folk, but even the average joe i meet knows that 9/11 was more than some cave extremists hating on our freedom =)
2 Poiluv 2015-01-14
Don't we all know it was Saudi-backed extremists?
3 last1ofthejedi 2015-01-14
well, not everyone i've encountered goes that far down the bread crumb trail, but yeah, for anyone that looked into it even a smig, it's pretty obvious what country of orgiin the hijackers were from. I don't remember where it came from off the top, but the line this reminded me of was, "saudis hijacked planes and crashed them into the twin towers so therefore we declaired war on afganistan and iraq".
1 Poiluv 2015-01-14
The US's leaders couldn't let a tragedy go to waste and decided to funnel billions to their cronies via war contracts.
I wouldn't be surprised if they started that "inside job" nonsense to distract from all the corruption.
2 last1ofthejedi 2015-01-14
me either. south park suggests the same, that they simply took advantage of the situation to seem all knowning and what not. This also reminds me of another story i read once. It was that in east germany, everyone thought the gustopo had a file on them. Turned out it was only like 10%. It seems likely to me that the nsa is working that same bluff of see all know all to this day.

you say you feel distraught cause you arn't doing anything to stop them, but one man can do nothing. now when we come together as a community to make our slice of the pie a better place, then we have the ability to change the world. So chin up, and keep your moral compass on straight. If you let them get in your head like that, they kinda already won, and I am here to tell ya, though i know it looks back, the forces of darkness on this planet don't win.

I'm going to be the bad guy here. Sorry.
Don't listen to those other assholes, they don't really mean what they say, they just need the shell of "it's not me" in order to keep living relatively comfortably while our countries commit countless atrocities in the name of freedom and safety (always those two, often together).
But IT IS US. We are the people who let this happen. We are the knowing doing nothing, just hoping that we won't be next.
you are absolutely right to feel bad, you are absolutely right to feel guilt because IT IS YOU! just as much as it is me doing this. Now please stop whining and start thinking what you can do about it instead.
You only have two options here. You can try to dull your conscience and your intellect with consumerism, TV, food, alcohol, drugs whatever or you can clear your conscience by trying to fix the stuff that makes you feel bad.
Your choice

I'm suddenly back. Thanks. I'm glad we're hypocrites together.
1 no1113 2015-01-14
TPTB look at what you wrote and laugh.
If we all got together, put our differences aside and DID indeed stand together as one against this, it would stop though.

I think this is the most important thing to remember,
but...
You see what happens to people who adopt alternative ways of thinking and acting. They can lose their friends, job, spouse, children, original nuclear family. I understand why they don't.
1 no1113 2015-01-14
They are generally ostracized, marginalized, and set apart for ridicule.
Indeed.
Yes. We remained lost and enslaved in this world otherwise, however.
0 theobvioussss 2015-01-14
As one of those who lost everything and doesn't think that he'll get any of it back or ever be able to make much of a difference, I just had to speak up for myself.
EDIT: vv vv What? That's outwardly implied.
-1 no1113 2015-01-14
Did you get criticized (etc) for speaking (or acting) against certain nefarious doings that you became aware of and decided to stand against?
1 spiritmeetthesoul 2015-01-14
I refuse to earn more money than I need and always stay under the tax bracket. This is my way of not participating in the madness
1 strokethekitty 2015-01-14
Not in your name bro. Its not in America's name either (not the Constitutional Republic with Democratic Principles, anyhow).
It is in the name of America, Inc.
1 33degree 2015-01-14
In what capacity do you work in the prison system?
1 minimis 2015-01-14
Way late, but I work in a job and am required to pay taxes that go to supporting the prison system.
1 C4BOOM 2015-01-14
Just be thankful you don't actually have blood on your hands.
1 minimis 2015-01-14
I do though. Maybe not literally but figuratively, 100%
0 onfia 2015-01-14
The american government is a means for the american people to get the physical benefits of brutalizing others without the need for us to feel responsible. We pay for you to not feel that way, so stop right now.
