Presidential elections are the political equivalent of Wrestlemania.

It is fucking hilarious. Look at how people especially far right think that a democrat in the white house will destroy the country.

"Politics is the entertainment branch of industry."

-Frank Zappa, 1987

Frank Zappa — 'Government is the Entertainment division of the military-industrial complex.'

this is a common mistake, the actual quote is as I stated. I'll post a link in a few mins, a bit busy at the moment.

EDIT: here's the source w/explanation from an old reddit post:

A fitting election for this culture.

Well, he didn't say the elections were orchestrated by the mainstream media, he said "some things", i.e. manufactured scandals are the media's doing, which is not a terribly radical conclusion to come to. I can't remember an election cycle that wasn't filled with all sorts of ridiculousness. It just gets amplified now that virtually everyone is on social media and/or paying attention to the major "news" networks.

I keep saying Trump is a puppet. Dancing for his banking masters pulling his strings.

He has his own money you idiot. Think a little bit

He should know, after all he did his best to help Romney win the show.
