Really reddit, - really?

It wasn't a prank. It was a Connecticut coverup. They are the same person and I see no reason to believe that was a prank, but at the end of the day I don't care. If JCP wanted to ruin his credibility, it's his business to do so.

credibility is hard-won, easily lost.

Perhaps they used April Fool's day for plausible deniability, but I tend to think that they used April Fool's day because it was an April Fool's gag. Call me crazy.

Literally who cares? Who the fuck cares about some localized “drama” that doesn’t matter to anyone?

Fix the real problems of the world.

Holy fuck, in a sub that has people accusing 9/10 users of being shills, it's gunna matter.

How about we just get RID of that idiotic rule and let the shills out themselves with their own stupidity?

It was just... ah... a prank.... bro?

Edit: still not sure if an /s is necessary.

It is April 2 now. And Flytape has been promoted to moderator on r/C_S_T.

Prank? Or punked?

I find it very convenient to just say the whole thing was a prank. Especially when it was instigated by someone else calling him out on it. I think I will be looking at posts from pretty much anyone involved heavily in said thread with a far more critical eye.

Rubbing my eyes....in the last 35 minutes since I posted this thread Flytape is no longer listed as a moderator of r/C_S_T.

I have no screenshots (not that I know how to do that anyway).

Here 35 minutes ago, and gone now. What the actual fuck kind of reddit games are in play here? Moderators come and go in 9 hours time? After a disastrous thread that was later labeled - 'a joke'?

I'm smelling a cartel of rats. Godknows what they're actually up to.

Where else on the internet would so many go to find out information that might be leaked? This whole fiasco seems like a huge distraction. I wonder what was going on in the world while we were all entertained by the "Pranks" of the mod-team?

It's almost like you guys don't know what April Fools Day is...

It's almost like you reek of desperation to have it "known" as an April Fools Day prank. Shit man, if it really was, just admit it got out of hand and you fucked up. Stop trying to own it like it was planned to go the way it did. There is no possible way you foresaw it backfiring like that. Now be honest.

I saw them conceive of the idea a few months ago. That's it. I didn't go online for most of that day.

It was a joke that was planned for several weeks beforehand. Poor taste? Perhaps. I think JCP may have underestimated the paranoia of some of the users in this sub.

Don't mind that though. The Witch Hunt Must Go On, amirite? ;)

April 1st is a good day for psyops to get stuff from this sub onto the front of page

Not supposing at all.

Oh look another rabble rousing mushroom account starting drama.

Whoosh!

Personally, I think it's exactly what they said it is... a prank that had larger repercussions then planned. Flytape and JCP were used due to thier reps, flytapes shady past and jcps current love. It was a good idea but poor taste due to everyone's lack of trust for flytape.

flytapes shady past

Which is 99% fictional to boot. SubredditDrama and subs like it cooked up a massive smear-mythos surrounding him because he would ban them when they would come here to troll and bully people. Still surprises me that some people here believe such sloppy, fickle liars.

Ive never had any issues with him. Hes always had well thought out intelligent posts.

It's gone.

Yep.

@ Rockran, I remember you from a few years ago. Haven't seen you on this sub for quite some time.

Nice to see you nip in here again. :)

... I post here daily.

First, a screencap or something would be a little more convincing.

Totally.

Second, I fail to see how this is an issue?

Some people don't like Flytape, so anything he does is literally just the worst thing possible.

Of course I never thought when looking at the mod team list of r/C_S_T that I should take a screenshot of the page without knowing it would soon be altered, and secondly as I said before, I don't even know how to do that (there are such people in the world who lack in tech skills).

What I do know with my own two eyes, is that shit on reddit appears and disappears without notice. Even in the original thread here on r/conspiracy - https://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/4cyda2/something_fishy_going_on_with_flytape_and/ - there were deleted comments which are not available even when running it through /undelete/.

The stuff that is disappeared around here is truly stunning.

The conspiracy is that flytape and JamesColePardon are the same account. That was the "crapfest of innuendo" yesterday.

The conspiracy is that flytape and JamesColePardon are the same account.

That's not a 'conspiracy', it's a 'conspiracy theory' (and a prank one at that). Two very different concepts.

Yeah, I know. It just sounded like you didn't see the post yesterday.

He saw it. He posted only his 2nd post after being a member for 9 months at the very bottom. He's an alternative for someone else. Don't buy his pretending to be innocent observer.

He has a tendency to defend flytape of all people, but you'd never know it because he's already erased his defense yesterday.

I suggest screenshots. It's akin to catching the hit-and-run comments.

I checked someone se yesterday who was pushing a defense, and it was strange. It appears like a well knit group and that they aren't just Internet groupies who try to push agendas and sway opinion, it looks like they are involved in real life shit. I'm not someone who tries to convince peoe of things so I won't say names or anything, but feel free to poke around. I view conspiracy forums as a place where real advocates clash with disinformation and tros and shills and people who just like to play around and people who are serious and concerned. It is up to you, the end user, to read and formulate your own understanding. Once you reach an understanding, do with that belief what you will. I'm just about done here if that's any indication of what I have come to understand.

I find it very convenient to just say the whole thing was a prank. Especially when it was instigated by someone else calling him out on it. I think I will be looking at posts from pretty much anyone involved heavily in said thread with a far more critical eye.
