If Trump becomes President...

The types of deals that he would try to make...this is a crazy thought, but I am going to say it...there are roughly 15 million unoccupied homes in the USA. Could Trump ever swing some type of deal that would entice wealthy Chinese to buy up a large portion of these unoccupied homes and move abroad to the United States? I don't really know the implications of such a deal, but I have a feeling that a portion of populace would not be happy about such a deal.

I don't know...if this is a silly idea, can we at least have some decent discourse of what to expect if Trump is elected in November?

You want your market to hyper inflate, and make it difficult for young American's to enter the real estate market,.. That's how you do it.

Look at what's happening in Vancouver, British Columbia with all the Chinese money coming in and buying real estate.

It's also happening in Australia

I've read about housing prices in certain area becoming inflated due to wealthy Chinese families buying up real estate in the United States for a couple of reasons (I'm sure there are more)

  1. They house their college aged students in the house while they attend school.

  2. Property laws are supposedly way different in China than they are in America- I'm not exactly sure the differences but I'm pretty sure it's difficult for most Chinese to actually own their homes/land in China. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Using the OP's example, there is a big difference between whole selling empty inventories to bulk buyers to bidding wars by tycoons looking to hide assets like is going on in Vancouver.

California too.

Google: EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program (Trump isn't needed for the to Chinese purchase large amounts of land/housing/businesses. This program has went insane over the past 5 - 10 years. More than tripled the Chinese (mainlander..Peoples Republic of China - not just "Asian" or Hong Kongers) population in some popular metro areas. More so look for a known university, and you will see the population of Chinese homeowners and business owners will have at least doubled in the last 10 years. How do I know? I used to help them through the process.)

But...but.... The Donald is going to make America GREAT again. Don't ask how, just accept it.

Why the hell would he want more non-Americans in the country?

The guy is a business man...

And? He’s an American businessman.

I think you meant bigot businessman.

Learn what bigotry is. For fuck’s sake, can you people go five seconds without outing yourselves?! Stick to shitposting in your own hugboxes. You’re an embarrassment to everyone.

I...am from the Midwest. I know a thing or two about bigotry you smug asshole.

Who are you man? Just a keyboard warrior trying to disrupt discourse. I'm just trying to stimulate an interesting conversation.

I...am from the Midwest. I know a thing or two about bigotry

So you have no argument, can’t even explain what you think bigotry is (and which it isn’t), and think where you live defines what you know. Somehow.

Bet you think that Japanese have an inherent knowledge of Nobunaga’s campaigns, huh.

I’m just trying to stimulate an interesting conversation.

Your conversation is predicated on lies and unsubstantiated bullshit and when called out on this you spew insults.

Good luck with that.

Bigotry is what you are doing right now.

"You people"

Nice.

hahahahaha this is fuckin ridiculous.

There are more millionaires in China than there are Americans and non-Americans in the US; and they all would love to immigrate, along with their extended families, and displace the rest. Think about that in the context of who is running the US, and why. The only thing that's even slowing them down is PRC; the US has its doors kicked wide open for them.

what? there's more millionaires in china than there's people in usa? > 300 million millonaires?

that seems a lot, for a country where children sleep in factories

Hard to conceptualize 2.5 billion people, I know.

ah you're off by a billion mate, there's not that many of them yet ... 1.5B chineese

From what I understand, he is going to make America great again. As for your OP, not sure why he would do that, or why rich Chinese would emigrate here.

Same can be said about Bernie (far worse actually - economically illiterate and delusional). That being said, they are all puppets unless Trump pulls a Putin (don't really see that happening). #nobodyfor2016

Yeah, we agree basically. We disagree on Bernie and Trump though. I don't support either, and Hillary should be in jail, but I think people under estimate Trump's intelligence and overestimate Bernie's "ideologies/anti-establishment". Either way, like I said, they are all puppets or will become puppets/neutered. I think the country needs to look in a different direction. Smaller gov, and more freedom, as the founders intended...

I'm curious how much people like yourself actually know about Trumps policies.... I really didn't think much of the guy but I recently watched his foreign policy speech and was actually very pleasantly surprised.

I am not a supporter of Trump. However, I don't pretend to know his policies judging from his stump speeches, which essentially are just advertising... being vague, sounding powerful, etc.... The only thing I was referring to was his foreign policy speech, which I surprisingly really agreed with him on... for the most part.

The only person I definitely support is Gary Johnson. I voted for Sanders because I think he's a good person, I just disagree with his ideologies. With that in mind, anyone that goes off of the news snippits of Trump and jumps to huge conclusions about him is, IMO, dumb. It should be clear he is just using NLP, and advertising/persuasion techniques to get votes in the primary... That's the game and he played it pretty well. But to listen to his little speeches and actually think you can draw any honest conclusions is just shallow. He doesn't really say anything much... That's why I've withheld judgement on Trump until I actually know the policies he wants to implement... As of right now, the only real specific policy I've heard was his foreign policy speech, which I liked because it was essentially "bring the troops home, no more nation building, stop being the worlds police, etc." I was very surprised to hear it because of the reputation Trump gets.

My big issue is with everyone calling him a bigot, etc. When he first started going around the media and I heard people saying he was racist and a bigot and whatnot, I thought he must have been. For example the Mexican quote that I heard everywhere made it seem like he said all mexicans are drug dealers and rapists. If I listened to the news and hopped on the bandwagon I would still think that... But I looked up the speech and watched it in whole and he is very clearly not being racist. He was speaking somewhat off the cuff and giving examples on why open borders are bad... which I don't necessarily agree with, but I understand the point he was trying to make.

Since then I always hear people taking little bits of something he said, or something that could be implied if taken out of context, or slightly twisted... I've looked into it a few times and each time the people raving against Trump are totally exaggerating and acting pretty immature. So, I withhold my opinion on him until I actually know. For now, all I know is his foreign policy, which I like.

This years electionsis equally pathetic, and majestic... I'll keep my fingers crossed that Johnson gets in the debates. He' already on all the ballots. I can dream, haha. Thanks for the chat!

So you just have zero argument whatsoever, then.
