mushrooms, why is another plant/fungi illegal??????

If everyone in America did mushrooms, once or twice a month, how long until we all stopped buying stupid shit, being consumerists, and only focused on what really mattered?

Psilocybin-containing mushrooms have an ineffable effect on our consciousness; a breakthrough dose defies description, language, and our ordinary constructs of reality.
One strong dose, just ONE, is enough to break the illusions currently plaguing the majority of the world. The jig would be up. Civilization stops looking so civilized. One understands that there is far, far more going on in the Universe than our scientific materialism understands.
Your question begs the question: what really matters? One way to answer that is to quote Alan Watts: If an Apple Tree apples, then the Earth peoples, and Nothing matters.

I concur

Never tried Amantia, but I am interested since it is similar to psilocybin because it is natural.
2 themadhat1 2016-10-09
look into it you can find these every where. google or whatever search engine you use. i go every spring and fall to northern Minnesota. we find them under pine trees. all the "cow patty party shroom dudes will tell you they are dangerous. im not dead.
1 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
I will, not at the point in my life where I can make a trip to Minnesota for some Amanitas, but I will eventually. Right now basic tub shrooms, or cow patty shrooms are the most convenient. I will definitely look into them though, at some point.
2 themadhat1 2016-10-09
dude look up aminita in your area . they are every where. i promise.
1 themadhat1 2016-10-09
if you want a really strange experience. find aminita. i have seen little people. polka dots. im not going further. shit gets real here this aint shrooms...
2 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
Sounds more visual than mental. Most experiences I've had with cow patty, or bathtub shrooms, is a balance of mental and visual.
If amanita is more visual than I NEED to take them to try it, because visuals are fun, but truly I've been suggesting shrooms because, not only have they helped me deal with inner turmoils, they have helped me gain better views of the small little rock floating through space we live on.
1 themadhat1 2016-10-09
stop trying to rationalize it. you cant.aminita is something totally different. it is alive.....like living.
1 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
aminita is consumed dried or fresh?
2 themadhat1 2016-10-09
aminita is best served live......... hahah. it has a certain amount of toxicity as all mushrooms do. even the grocery store models. so cooking takes most of it out. they are best when you find them as they are growing. the natives in the southwest only used them in ceremony when they were living. you can drie them but i have never seen those. after you pick them they deteriorate quickly so you have to freeze them. will make some people throw up, hence its negative reputation. i personalty have never had any problems. but you should cook them and drink the tea. im telling you now, its a completely different scene. get ready for a sense of presence. i have had some amazing experiences. was up on mt. lemmon near Tucson one time, we were all seeing fairy's, little people, and all kinds of so called mythical animals and colors. colors and trails. fukin' amazing. the sights are in the peripheral. so you have to sit and GAZE. dont focus. aminita if your not ready can be scary. you should always have a partner. this stuff makes the woods come alive. dont do this in a sterile environment. it puts you in touch with what makes us alive.
1 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
Have a babysitter, sure I can agree. But only if that babysitter is able to let you trip freely. By that I mean, not asking you if you are tripping every 20 minutes, and bothering you at all really.
A babysitter should do nothing more than make sure you are alive. Other than that, a babysitter should be a tripper themselves, so they know when someone is having a bad trip, but even then, I've learned more from bad trips, than some good trips. Mushrooms are the answer to most internal problems or dilemmas, even if they are horrifying.
They remove the shield of comfort most of us dwell in.
Yep.
2 themadhat1 2016-10-09
i will tell you now aminita will fuck with your unstable mind.

Never did mushrooms, always spooked me (the trip). Drank absinthe and wormwood though. How different are they than the green faery?
5 inbetweentime 2016-10-09
I've done both several times, IMO they don't compare. Wormwood just made me feel different. Mushrooms opened new pathways in my brain. Glorious pathways of truth. Not joking. Would highly recommend them for anyone.
*Also, there's no such thing as a bad trip. Sometimes the truths that are revealed can be intense, emotional or upsetting. When people can't handle the truth they get scared and call it a bad trip. (could be as simple as suppressed guilt coming to the surface, etc.)
Obviously too, don't do them in a dumb situation (i.e. don't go into a dark cave filled with water up to your neck and eat mushrooms unless you want a 'bad trip'...yes my friend did this last weekend)
6 Putin_loves_cats 2016-10-09
Interesting. Did you drink the authentic absinthe, and not the shit they allow in the US? My wormwood experience kind of reminded me of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Definitely hallucinated and tripped bawls. This was in Russia though. I also heard they have this stuff that is from chicken shit or something. I presume it's like mushrooms, never tried it though. Really interested in your experience. I wanna try mushrooms, but it's kind of freaks me out, plus it's illegal. Fuck the government....
4 inbetweentime 2016-10-09
Indeed, I drank it both in Russia and Kiev. And locally, but it came from there. It was a subtle high from my experience. Mushrooms aren't.
I've eaten mushrooms and closed my eyes in bed before. I was shown the fabrics of the universe (it's what I went into it hoping to learn about). This may sound crazy if you've never tried them... I've heard LSD is similar but I haven't done it - I prefer natural things.
Try them, by all means. If you eat a small dose, you'll experience the sensory effects without really tripping in your mind, so don't worry. Start with like 1 gram, or even a half. You'll end up laughing your ass off for an hour, seeing physical matter a bit differently, and that's about it.
Goodness, I love mushrooms. I can ramble about them for ever. I truly think everyone should try them (at the right time and in the right setting).
My 65 yr old dad wants to try them with me, I'm excited.
2 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
This couldn't be more true. If you have internal problems to still deal with, then mushrooms are only going to magnify such problems, and probably not help. But if you are content inside, then its time to take some mushrooms. A natural clean environment for the next six - ten hours of your life and you will experience things you cannot imagine. First time I took 1.7 grams, half an eighth, then then following that, with at least a one month break, I took a full eighth, which is plenty if you don't over do it. The reason I think mushrooms should be plentiful in our society is because they are impossible to abuse. If you take them every day you won't trip in the slightest after day two.
2 inbetweentime 2016-10-09
I don't think you have to be content inside to eat mushrooms, in fact I think they can help you sort some of those internal problems out. Of course there are times when my mental is not in the right state to eat mushrooms, but you don't have to wait 'til you're happy. If you want to eat them solely to have 'fun', then you're right, it may not be a jolly few hours.
And for sure, a couple grams will do me just fine too if they're decent mushrooms.
2 Putin_loves_cats 2016-10-09
Thanks for your comment, and I may just indeed take the leap. I know where to get em, it just has always spooked me. We shall see. I've definitely been heading down this road for some time. I drink (I know it's bad, but my mind reacts differently to it than others), but have been looking to be more holistic and seek natural things. Just sucks because the State can lock you up for having a fuckin' plant or mushroom. SMH, so much wrong with that....
3 inbetweentime 2016-10-09
Cheers, if you do I'd be curious to hear about your first experience.
I wouldn't recommend them so adamantly to everyone - I have friends who don't like them but they also don't like having their reality challenged. Needless to say they're not on /r/conspiracy.
I drink too, maybe not like you do, but I also appreciate what it does. Luckily my body dislikes it too much for me to be able to get carried away with it.
3 Putin_loves_cats 2016-10-09
Cheers! If/when I do, I'd def post about it here. As for drinking, it's weird for me. It helps me relax and encourages me to research/retain information. I do not do it to "have fun and party", like most do. It's hard to explain, but then again, I'm a Slav (Pole) and it's in my blood. We all react to substances differently. As of right now, I've had quite a few and am still discussing rationally. Weird world we live in. Truly though, thanks for your comment. You may have just convinced me to try it. Everything happens for a reason!
2 Gnome_Sayin 2016-10-09
it sucks the eleusinian mysteries went out of style and favor.
those cats brewed up a concoction from ergot (and possibly myrrh) and mass tripped in honor of the goddess Demeter
1 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
i consider mushrooms almost identical to weed, just at a higher dose. This is because, the only man made made influence with mushrooms is almost exactly to weed, drying it out. Once its dried its ready to be consumed. So yes, FUCK THE GOVERNMENT, mushrooms seriously makes me question everything I've believed. It makes me wonder why I wasted so much time on x when i could have been worrying about y.
1 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
Wish I could answer you, never done absinthe, harder to obtain in my location, which is obviously not Europe.
1 Putin_loves_cats 2016-10-09
I see. Yeah, it's a shame. I'm from the US, and had some when I went to Poland and Russia in my "younger" years... The trip was very interesting, I've been changed since...
2 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
IMHO, mushrooms do not allow you to accept stupid shit. By stupid shit, I mean following Kim Kardashian on twitter or anything similar.
2 DrDougExeter 2016-10-09
that's why they're illegal. You've answered your own question.
1 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
Then, how? How do we out-repeat the media. It's proven that the media wins only because repetition. Generally, people will believe false, repetitious statements more than the truth said once. So, how do we shove mushrooms down people's throats, or even better the truth, when media is what they hear most? I guess we just let the old fuckers die out and wait for the millennial's to take over with their Internet knowledge.

AMERICA: where illegal is free for the rich, and illegal for the poor.
1 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
If you own land that contains: A replenish-able supply of water, than you own land that can supply anything and everything you need.
Any plant or animal can grow on your land, because you have water. Therefore you have all the food and water you need to sustain life. Therefore you have ANYTHING worth true value: Water, Food, Family. Everything man needs or wants is within that group. If you want something outside of that group then you want more than you need.
2 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
Maybe I'm leaving out how the elements can ruin your crops or that you won't be able to grow some plants because of the weather conditions of your land.
Because of that, most of us will move to places where we have fertile and usable land, making it scarce, the ultimate resource in an economy. Even then, how bad can things get? Well, as bad as they are now because that is what's happened. Eventually, some realized they have advantages with their resources because of scarcity and they used this for their personal gain. Unfortunate, but true.
Not everyone can have land that is both fertile and yielding. So those that do, eventually gained the advantage. Then, after some time, technology advances made even rarer scarcity possible. So, here we are in the year 2016, with a world where the generation's generation's generation's children are ruling the world. Why? Because, the one's ruling the world's great, great, great, great-grandfather's figured out, before anyone else, that their resources were best used to develop scarcity, and to take advantage.
Well, there I go, into deep economical/philosophical thoughts, fuck me.

Psilocybin is remarkably non toxic. You could eat a wheelbarrow full and still be fine.
3 Gnome_Sayin 2016-10-09
i dont know if it'll all fit in a wheelbarrow if youre trying to suicide by shrooming.
its something like 37 lbs of fresh mushrooms to kill someone weighing 160 pounds. maybe like 4 pounds or so of dried.
either way, that is a LOT of fungus to be among.
2 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
You'd throw up before you get it all down, just like cannabis
3 Gnome_Sayin 2016-10-09
ive never heard of a thc overdose
ive read/heard that you can die from smoking 14 pounds of the stuff, but the cause of death is actually carbon monoxide poisoning
2 zophieash 2016-10-09
Challenge accepted.
2 dgdhrdvddsweewq 2016-10-09
I'd throw up if I ate a wheelbarrow full, but your point is valid. You can't truly overdose on them. And besides, you don't need to.
That being said, I hate to bring a conspiracy into /r/conspiracy (/s) but, how else can the pharmaceutical industry exist if it cures, instead of treats.
2 Lo0seR 2016-10-09
As a result of what, TV?
0 Batmanjam801 2016-10-09
No. Mushrooms.
"Magic mushroom completely impair a user’s brain chemical makeup which can cause them to have chemical imbalances in their brain once the drug leaves their system. If a person continues to abuse magic mushrooms, they may end up having permanent brain damage."
