'Hipster Propaganda' outlet VICE doing Damage Control on Marina Abramovic's Spirit Cooking Scandal

Largely ignored in the mainstream media, looks like one outlet has been paying attention to the Wikileaks investigations raging all over the interwebs. VICE, the voice of the young people, is already on it... doing damage control that is.

 

The first to do documentaries on Ukraine, ISIS, the FSA, and now Marina Abramonovic. Always the first on the scene, they are so cutting edge. What would the youth do without VICE?!

Ugh, Vice... I always said it was a bunch of frat boys showing off how cool and "edgy" they were under the guise of it being investigative journalism.

Edit: and what pissed me off the most about them doing this would be that it objectified their subjects in the process. For example, they did something on underground tunnels, and the whole time they were patting themselves on the back for exploring them with the homeless population there. They took attention away from the lives of the people experiencing this on a day-to-day reality and instead used the platform to glorify themselves. They do this endlessly and it's indicative of the sheer narcissistic selfie culture subsuming this country.

Precisely this. Talking about her poor old upbringing in Yugoslavia to becoming the "greatest performance artist" of our generation. She even says "I had 3 abortions so i could make art.   1. For a 69 year old artist she is in great shape.

  2. I could only watch for 5 minutes until bored. I clicked on "close" when she asked the interviewer to ask a question not on his script. And then he had to stumble for fifteen seconds. In fifteen seconds of non-action a lot of viewers are going to click away.
