I believe that they could be many things. But if I just go by the physical structures themselves?
First, they are a monument. Egyptologists like to say that this or that Pyramid was by built this or that Pharaoh. But there's so much more.
I think the Pyramids are a monument to the knowledge of whatever culture built them. We realized that all kinds of knowledge/principles are encoded into the structure of the Great Pyramid only when we ourselves developed a certain level of knowledge about geometry, the Earth's dimensions etc.
So it's a structure that incorporates knowedge. It serves as proof that such knowledge was possessed long ago by some culture that precedes our own by many thousands of years.
Someone built it to show everyone who followed "This is what we know and this is what we could build... remember us!"
Less monument more 3D interactive writing... Also the knowledge isn't lost just kept away from us peasants and used to rule and control instead of teach and benefit...
Same theory As Robert Bauval and Graham Hancock, though they think more that it was information being passed to initiates and future generations. Quite a few good YT videos (and great books) available. Also a series Netflix at the moment that delves into this: iirc Secrets of the Pyramids or something like that.
If math doesn't frighten you and you're really interested in this stuff you'll love these presentations. Puts a whole new non religious meaning to as above so below. (Also it proves what real magic is but that would involve a bit more explaining...)
If they were purely for sensory deprivation, then why the hell would they make them massive, with various channels and subterranean caverns? That's like saying we built a subway so people could sit down.
No, I'm saying we couldn't replicate it today even with modern tools. Not that we are aware of the existence of any ancient tools that could have accomplished this task either.
Lmao it's not 'my thoery'. Educate yourself. Literature on the pyramids abounds. Try to spend less time simply attempting to argue. Have a good weekend.
They were designed to harvest atmospheric electricity and store it in batteries. This is why at the time of their construction, they were tipped with gold. Gold is an excellent electrical conductor, which again is why you see satellites coated in gold...
We have found that the dimensional ratios of the Great Pyramid of Giza (GPG) express the key ratios of an AC voltage sine wave as well as ratios of the Fibonacci number. As pyramidal horn antennas are suitable for the detection of short-pulse waveforms, we reasoned that the shape of GPG could embody a time domain, wideband antenna for atmospheric electrostatic discharge (ESD) impulses. This hypothesis has subsequently been confirmed. We have further found that the pyramidal antenna, modeled on the Great Pyramid of Giza, can couple into the atmosphere and transfer the power of ESD impulses into a novel lumped-element resonant circuit that converts the random impulses into regular series of exponentially decaying sinusoidal wave trains. Thus, ESD impulses can be transformed into an alternating current of predictable frequency. This system could become a source of renewable electric power by utilizing the electrical activity of the atmosphere.

Well, DUH.
We all know they are meant to be filled with grain.
I heard that from one of the elites from one coast or another.

Graham Hancock is the best source on this IMO

Direct answer to your question starts at the 51:00 mark. https://youtu.be/LognDcZ_OyE

Curious how you mentioned the 51:00 mark. 3060 seconds in.
The length of the video is 1:51:50. That's 6665 seconds.
1 armosphere of pressure is 14.69938357 pounds per square inch.
3060 * 6665 * 14.69938357 = 299,792,458 the speed of light
Why did you encode the speed of light into your post?
2 CohenDaBarbarian 2016-12-10
why did you?

Common theory is for burial of royalty. Beyond that it's anybody's hypothesis.
3 inbetweentime 2016-12-10
yes but I don't think any of them contained actual proof of that, outside of empty boxes presumed to be sarcophaguses

Well, at least it isn't known to us yet.
However it's not me who's looking for proof. I don't think they were sarcophaguses.

Finding drawings/depictions of a sarcophagus burial ceremony and dating them to the same time period as the granite boxes.

Are pants for wearing?
If you find a pair of pants, how can you prove that pair of pants was intended to be worn?
At some point you make educated conclusions.

Next time you're at a restaurant and they bring you a fork you should ask them what they're going to bring you to eat with.

Pretty incredible stuff about who built them
1 KleptocraticAutist 2016-12-10
Originally they were relatively small burial chambers but increased in grandiosity until we end up with the great pyramids at Giza.
5 inbetweentime 2016-12-10
They contain chutes and chambers built in such a way that I think this theory isn't possible

Mostly all built with what we consider impossible precision

Then consider the difference between "impossible" and "impossible for us".
We can't possibly build that shit right now.
But somebody else did.

Aaron Dover did a video about this
And he linked to a scientific paper on the topic.
