/r/conspiracy will become synonymous with truth

57  2017-02-25 by setadoon177

With the influx of users being banned on certain subreddits across this site, it is important to come to terms with the fact that conspiracy, while once on the fringe, will be more towards a center...in the coming weeks and months. That is, it must be used as a platform for truth and open discussion in this time where discussion is sought to be controlled. Supporting the revelations of users who are silenced because of speech or political view or even real conspiracy, must continue to be on our list of priorities. Thank you all for participating and growing this steadily-increasing force.

Nah, people will always think we're a bunch of crazies, but they'll still come here when they want to have the conversation reddit won't allow them to anywhere else.

We have our own migrant crisis here, in a strange way. Or are they refugees?

depends on how they self identify

I identify as a meat popsickle.

Me Too!

Our refugees are great. The ones chasing/following them into here, not so much.

ah, finally someone admits that all the T_D people are new.

so tired of them using "old-school /r/conspiracy posters" or "/r/conspiracy regulars" to dismiss any outside thought as brigading.

Or, you could say the old users now newly identify as something else.

Brigades happen all the time and it's silly to dismiss it.

if they were here already they aren't refugees or migrants..

Maybe they were and didn't realize it until after the fact?

I asked you guys to build the wall weeks ago. Any progress?

synonymous with truth

Uhm... No... The CIA psyop is so successful that if you say "conspiracy" to the ignorant public, they'll immediately think that you're insane.

But see, there's a difference between legitimate skepticism, conspiracy theory, plausible conspiracy, and just spouting ridiculousness that even SciFi writers wouldn't touch. I would love to see this sub gain more traction and shed some of that '4chan-ness' that seems to follow it but that's never going to happen as long as this sub is just a general repository for any-and-all crazy ideas.

For me personally, I don't like posts centering around peoples conspiracy IDEAS. If you don't have even one shred of evidence then it doesn't do anyone any favors. Me saying "the Trump administration is planning to require brain implants in all (fill in group here) by 2019" doesn't make it a legitimate conspiracy theory, it's just "my" own paranoid delusions spilling out onto reddit. So long as the majority of this subs posts fall into that category then expect that r/conspiracy will continue to be not much more than humor fodder for many more years.

tl;dr - Stop posting your own crazy madeup scenarios if you want to be taken even somewhat seriously

The problem is that no matter how much a "theory" gets spammed here incessantly is that we're no longer allowed to play devils advocate anymore. A year ago the most logical voice would rise to the top of the comments, now that same voice is silenced into downvote hell. Same reason I say that if you want to see what's really going on, visit /r/conspiracy/controversial

Not when the mods are in bed with t_d or are indeed the same people.

Wrong and wrong.

this sub was filtrated the moment everything had clickable headlines

yournewswire, investmentmarketwatchblog?, so many of the #fakenews (literally fakenews) sites pushing the same shitty alt-right headlines in here they push in T_D

I refuse to let go of the fringe

Not from my cold clutching tinfoil soaks hands.
