Comey testimoney imminent, is r/conspiracy watching the fired Ex-FBI director?

Seems like it's important to see what the ex-director of the U.S.A spooks has to say.

got a link perhaps, if it is being streamed?

Any news channel, CSPAN, etc will be carrying it.

thanks, but I am in Sweden, I found it online courtesy of another commenter :)

I went to youtube. It starts in like 45 minutes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67-iTpIqZrU

I got this in the background. Maybe switch to something else when it gets closer.

I will be watching for sure, can't wait to see the Trump-Russia narrative to crumble before the Dems (and some Reps too!).

It's gonna be glorious

It certainly is possible.

Well, like Tucker said, it can either be A) The biggest scandal since Watergate, like CNN and co. implies. or B) Biggest witch hunt we've seen in a while

There ain't really much middle ground

And despite what Tucker believes, there is an overwhelming amount of evidence that points to A and very little towards B.

Care to share that evidence? Because nobody in the IC has been able to locate it.

They state over and over that they can't reveal how they know without compromising their sources and methods. Most of the information will be classified.

That's even from the new guys appointed as the head of the agencies.

Trump opposers been leaking classified information to various outlets. If there was evidence, it would have been leaked by now.

Watch yesterdays's testimony. They still can't answer or refute WaPo articles.

If there was evidence, it would have been leaked by now.

This is the exact same line people use against all of the conspiracy theories this sub loves. 9/11, JFK, cabal, etc. Using that phrase on any other conspiracy would get torn apart since it's such a common retort to conspiracies.

You're about to be super disappointed.

Turn over them rocks bro

lmao... people keep calling into CSpan about Seth Rich.

Yeah the whataboutism will be strong today. Seth Rich can be a real story but this should be about Comey and his interactions with Trump.

It is highly unusual for a president to seek loyalty from the secret police. Especially as the FBI director is possible to see 3 presidents during his tenure.

Not to mention the FBI is also not exclusively loyal to the executive branch anyway.

It's a split-oversight between the executive and the legislative, and still answers to the judicial like every other part.

They tend to be more loyal to conservatives. Although in this case Hillary Clinton is closer to the type of conservative that the FBI tends to be loyal to than Trump, so everything's all topsy turvy.

Nah, some people in the FBI were out to get her during the last election cycle. Tons of leaks to the press whenever it could hurt Clinton.

And?

Unusual... but not illegal.

I do think the Seth Rich thing is funny because in spite a lot of effort to fight it, or perhaps as a result of fighting against it, the story has become a part of the cultural zeitgeist.

It was being pushed by Fox News. Just like the Birther conspiracy, once a theory gets MSM support it's going to enter the zeitgeist. The nature of its entry will depend on tribal perspective.

the story has become a part of the cultural zeitgeist.

Nah, not really.

Nah, not really.

Please elaborate...

Most people have no idea about any of this. It's a conspiracy.

It's pretty easy to understand.

3 people calling into CSpan in 20 minutes about the topic doesn't strike me as something "people have no idea about".

Oh do you not understand how 4chan is?

Did you bother to think before posting that?

Oh do you not understand how 4chan is?

You are changing the subject.

No I'm not. I'm proving a point. A small group of motivated people can call into a show. That doesn't make it a part of the "cultural zeitgeist".

Can you show me this coordination or is this just headcannon?

It's common sense.

Can you admit that phone calls aren't evidence of something being prevalent in our culture?

So, your answer is no, you cannot show me that this was coordinated?

Saying something you made up is common sense isn't as persuasive as you seem to think it is.

So your answer is that you admit that a phone call isn't proof of something being known throughout our culture?

Let's say 10 people call in every minute to a football call in show to say Belichick should be fired. According to you it's now part of the "cultural zeitgeist" that everyone knows Belichick should be fired.

It's one of the dumbest arguments I've ever seen in this sub and that's actually saying something. The fact you can't even address my point explains the rest really.

Does it really bother you THIS much I said something you disagree with?

Let's say 10 people call in every minute to a football call in show to say Belichick should be fired. According to you it's now part of the "cultural zeitgeist" that everyone knows Belichick should be fired.

Of course, it is "common sense". ;)

Ah, and now comes the "you're so worked up" argument. Wondering when you'd start projecting 😂

Of course, it is "common sense". ;)

I'm sure you desperately want to believe that 😂😂😂

Actually I realized this conversation was a joke a while ago...

Took you a bit to catch up. ;)

And there we have it, the pathetic attempt of a shill to change the subject.

Great work comrade 👍

It's become a joke. Seen by many as a lame attempt to ignore the daily scandals and befuddling actions of the government. This was really solidified when Seth Rich's family wrote that open letter asking people to stop politicizing his murder and looking for connections that they believe aren't there.

His murder is being investigated. The fact that there is so much attention on it is a statement by itself.

I genuinely don't give a toss about his murder unless there is some solid evidence that is revealed.

The fact that Assange used Seth Rich as an example of the risks that wikileak sources take, and offered a reward to sate the concerns of other sources is quite compelling though. Combine that with the fact Assange also confirmed multiple times the source was a LEAK and not a HACK, and didn't come from a state actor only compounds how compelling all this is.

Using the parents as an emotional appeal to say no one should talk about this ever again seems not only absurd, but disingenuous.

Using the parents as an emotional appeal to say no one should talk about this ever again seems not only absurd, but disingenuous.

I agree. But nobody is doing that. Since you have some familiarity with logic, I'm sure you've heard of the False Dilemma.

False Dilemma.

Absolutely. This is why I use the word "compelling" in this case.

That's not what I'm talking about. You used the words "no one should talk about this ever again," an argument no one is making. It's a strawman and false dilemma.

The argument isn't that Rich's murder shouldn't be investigated or talked about. The argument is that it's being used as a political distraction from the daily news to the point that no one takes it seriously anymore.

It's like

Newscaster: [Something bad about a democrat]

Viewer: I knew it. Democrats are corrupt.

Newscaster: [Something bad about a republican]

Viewer: MSM is corrupt! What about Seth Rich? What about Pizzagate?

Like I said. It can't be taken seriously by other people anymore. It doesn't have anything to do with the players and everything to do with the fact that Seth Rich just isn't in the news cycle anymore. If compelling or new evidence surfaces, it'll come back to the news cycle, but the evidence will have to be all the more compelling because no one is taking it seriously anymore because the story has been abused so much for political reasons.

Viewer: MSM is corrupt! What about Seth Rich? What about Pizzagate?

then

no one is taking it seriously anymore

That is a bit of a contradiction, no?

The fact it is even a partisan knee-jerk reaction validates my claim the topic is part of the cultural zeitgeist. Just like the partisan reaction to call it fake news has become.

Holy hell i was just about to post about all the whataboutism there was today.

Don't forget to watch https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump

["I'm told by two WH sources that Pres. Trump does not plan to put down Twitter on Thursday. May live tweet if he feels the need to respond."](hhttps://twitter.com/costareports/status/872130524244062208)

Apparently Trump is watching with his legal team, probably to prevent him incriminating himself on twitter.

Forget Comey's stream... I want to watch that! :-D

At first, I thought you were kidding, but then...

Wow holy shit. I know when I'm innocent, I sit around and watch a testimony about me with my lawyers.

Wow, this thread of comments bashing the president seems totally organic

Uh beep boop nothing to see here human ha ha. Organic like that or the other comments from accounts that are 3 days old and only talk about right wing conspiracies and how Donald can do no wrong. And for the record, I don't trust the government in general, not just Trump.

Reddit is full of social justice and trump hate, it permeates every subreddit.

I'm getting ready for a flood of SETH RICH PIZZAGATE HILLARY TRUMP DID NO WRONG posts.

You must be disappointed

It is super disappointing how many obviously fake accounts are manipulating this website. Just look at t_d. Almost 430,000 subscribers but the can barely wrack up 8,000 signatures when they try to brigade sites that use email verification, even when they sticky the link.

What's the point in subscribing to /r/the_Donald if they're vote manipulation accounts? Why not just go to /r/the_Donald and vote?

Reminder: Comey is likely in the pockets of the Clintons/Deep State

Yet he literally torpedoed her campaign to be president?

Come on now.

I know the fired FBI director speaking on a possible hijacking of an American election by the Russians might be interesting but... DAE PIZZAGATE!?

Lol here comes the damage control.

Showtime!

Today is going to be a big day for either sides of the political spectrum.

Edgeofmyseat.com

Burr mentioned Clinton emails! Drink!

UPDATE: Comey's straight face as Burr and Warner give opening statements confirms his intention to torpedo the entire Trump admin in a blaze of pending spittle and curse words. Also shows evidence of formaldehyde injections in the cheeks and jowel. The Cavs are going to start Comey at SF in Game 5, desperate for a distraction from their own failing efforts. More disclosure to come, keep checking this thread at all costs.

The Cavs could use him, for sure.

The oath!

Already flatly calling things lies. This might be better than I hoped.

No doubt boys let's go home.

How is Senator Collins even elected into office? Holy shit.

Divide her intelligence by her constituents and then you have the answer.

Oh shit! Comey not pulling punches for the election scandal.

There should be no fuzz on this whatsoever. The Russians interfered in our election during the 2016 cycle. They did it with purpose, they did it with sophistication, they did it with overwhelming technical efforts... it was driven from the top of their government... it's not a close call, that happened.

What exactly is Comey using to draw these conclusions? The CrowdStrike report? The FBI never actually analyzed the DNC servers. I'd like to know what evidence he's using in making that assertion.

It sounds like it goes much deeper than just the DNC server attack. We now know they have targeted election officials as well, this all may be the tip of the iceberg.

Seeing the direct evidence would be nice but if I had a nickel every time I saw someone in this sub misunderstand the crowdstrike report and/or details of UMBRAGE or other hacking information I'd have a lot of nickels. It seems most of the evidence is misunderstood and picked apart by non experts even when it is provided.

It sounds like it goes much deeper than just the DNC server attack. We now know they have targeted election officials as well, this all may be the tip of the iceberg.

Source?

The NSA report leaked this week

So you are confident with the report sans raw data or any further proof of links to Russia specifically whilst also knowing about UMBRAGE and similar making techniques? And you are confidential he leaked report is the only report on this and should be taken at face value?

I'm confident that an NSA analyst would know about those things and would know how to account for them when doing attribution analysis. Especially so since it appears multiple 3 letter agencies are working on different parts of this and the evidence all seems to point the same direction. You can't fake that.

Good. Point. I hope so too.

I cannot answer OP's question in an open setting.

I'm not surprised this thread hasn't taken off. If anyone thinks that there isn't some kind of conspiracy behind this and Trump doesn't have Illegal Russian ties, you are bugging out.

Yeah I'm not very popular 'round here.

Well, comrade, let's be besties.

Do you pledge your undying loyalty to me?

No. I pledge it to all the people. Even the marks, tricks and scipscap scallywags.

Join the club.

So basically, Trump is vindicated with collusion charges, Comey and the FBI never touched the DNC's servers, and the entire narrative is hinged upon the claims of DNC-affiliated Crowdstrike. So in other words, the entire narrative is full of shit, as predicted.

Aw that's cute lol

Someone's salty

Why would I be salty? You just wrote presumptions and James Comey called Trump a liar on national T.V in front of the entire country.

Yep, just ignore the facts and push that narrative! Ignore the fact that the FBI never even touched the DNC servers to make their claims, it's just literally predicated on information from a completely biased source with financial ties to the opposition. He called him a liar, ooooh! Good thing James Comey isn't compromised or dishonest in any way, nope no sir! Your naivety is astonishing.

I mean we're basically making a bet. On who is more trustworthy. Donald Trump or James Comey.

I guess we will just pick sides. I'm okay with that now.

This Trumpist narrative is hilariously delusional

Oooh Clinton bombshell, investigation still open?

Also... McCain referring to Comey as president.

Every time McCain speaks I wonder if they are his last words. Senile ole warmongers

Hey guys just curious but didn't he say that the Russians interfering in our election marks them as an enemy? If so doesn't that mean anytime we or someone else interferes with an election it is us or another entity committing an act of aggression against another country? I am surprised no one has jumped on that yet.

Russia = Good. USA = Bad

A bunch of disinfo. Whatever CSPAN is pushing, listen to the callers who question why? Washington politics is a sham.

Apparently Trump is watching with his legal team, probably to prevent him incriminating himself on twitter.
