Where are good places to live?
11 2017-06-09 by natasha2827
I know people are gonna hate this shit post and probably get shit/no replies... Does anyone like where they live? It seems to me like most people on this sub live somewhere in the U.S. But I'd be really interested if people have found somewhere that suits the way they want to live rather than make their lifestyle fit into where they live. I live in the UK. Recently found out I might need to move and I'm only excited about it if there is a place in this world that exists that isn't corrupt and isn't trying to feed and stress their residents to death.
I do believe chemtrails are real and I do believe they are rampant in the UK as based on the research I've done- I see them all the time. I also hate that no children are safe in this country, govt and media is riddled with pedos, child services and family court is just the fucking worse and it alone is the reason I don't want to bring children into this world. When many years ago before I started to look into conspiracy- having a family of my own was absolute goals. Now I want nothing to do with it. Where I live is the heart of farming!!! Yet there's still mcdonalds left right and centre, local food businesses and farms suffer due to the amount of warehouse farms and demand for processed foods. I want to be able to live somewhere where I can be in touch with nature rather than watching it be destroyed, breathe clean air rather than inhaling heavy metals and a government that I can actually back and be proud to support.... Does anywhere like this exist in the world? Ideally I want to live in woods with a pack of wolves...again sorry for the shit post, I'd just be really interested to see if anyone likes where they live...

Move to the lucky country mate 🇦🇺 - heaps of whingers here who don't realise how good they've got it
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
Where's that!?
n/a Ashley40 2017-06-09
If you really live in the UK, half your rellies are already here
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
Rellies? Relatives? My family is small and a quite broken. Not much tying me down to the UK in all honesty

Australia.
n/a OrchardGhost 2017-06-09
I'd totally move there if my fiance didn't think there were koalaspidersnakes around every corner.
n/a Ashley40 2017-06-09
There are, but that's the fun
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
the snakes here scare me let alone down there
n/a pottempie 2017-06-09
All depends which area you live in. I love in the suburbs of Melbourne. Never seen a snake slithering about.
n/a OrchardGhost 2017-06-09
I keep telling her that Australia isn't just a murderfest, but she won't believe me. Maybe it's the idea of being on the same continent as psychopathic monsters that turns her off (and then we have our American government. The irony is lost on her.)
n/a Aders83 2017-06-09
Lol! Apparently she prefers her snakes disguised.

Pitcairn island is a rapefest. Don't do it.
New Zealand is good, but still a microcosm of Western politics and culture. Kinda like you still have the flesh-eating virus on you, just not as much.
What's the deal with ascension island?
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
rape fest?! I'd never heard of the place before now
n/a refused98 2017-06-09
Many allegations/cover-ups of children being raped.
There are many YT documentaries on it.

Climate and population density wise New Zealand is good.Thats where the ultra rich are building their bug out bases. The other three are very much out of the way with low populations and good climate.

New Zealand sucks (piss off were full)

Born and raised in Germany, reasonably happy here - at least so, that I can't think of any country I'd like to move to soon. For political/quality of life reasons...
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
I actually have made lots of friends through video games in Germany and they always say how much they'd hate to live here in the UK and they like it there. I've always though Amsterdam would be a nice place to live, although not at all aware of any of the politics there.
n/a privatelameass 2017-06-09
Amsterdam sucks balls
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
I've visited for a holiday and fucking loved it. Of course nothing like living there, but what is it about it that sucks? Politics? Economy?
n/a privatelameass 2017-06-09
The flip side of being Europe's drug corner is a lot more apparent when you live with it everyday.
n/a hoeskioeh 2017-06-09
The one friend who moved to the UK and even started looking into buying a house complained a lot about the health care system. And moved back less than two years after...
Country and people are very nice, though, she said.
Someone close to me who moved here from a different country praises our health care, but keeps complaining about the people, the country in general, the food, and the weather.
So apparently we Germans are healthy but unhappy people in an ugly, rainy place. :-D

I live in Japan and am much happier than when I lived in the west.
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
I've always fantasied about Japan and love many parts of the culture. Where abouts in Japan do you live?
n/a nonbiological_entity 2017-06-09
In Osaka! It's a great city with an abundance of jobs and rent is a lot cheaper than in Tokyo. Also you're right by Kyoto and Nara and those are always fun to explore. I like that I'm always kept occupied (in a good way) here. There's always something to do and see. You should definitely visit if you can one day! If you have any other questions about living here, please don't be shy to ask. 👌
n/a hoeskioeh 2017-06-09
Nara park is fantastic! If you like deers. :)
And Kyoto is gorgeous.
If you haven't been overrun by robots, earthquakes, and/or Godzilla by the time my travel budget recovered, I might try Osaka, too.
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
My thoughts exactly
n/a nonbiological_entity 2017-06-09
Osaka is a lot of fun but you don't really need more than two or three days here. If you stay in Kansai you should definitely make a side trip to Miyajima if you haven't already! One of my favourite places in Japan. Also Teshima and Naoshima islands are great too.
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
Is it busy busy full of people? Thanks man really appreciate it. Been wanting to travel Japan for so many years just lacking the funds!
n/a hoeskioeh 2017-06-09
book your flight a year i advance if you can. we paid around 450EUR per person (plus tax) (two legged flight, changover in beijing)
reasonably cheap hotels are easy, off season!
travelling by shinkansen is expensive...
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
Wherever I go I gotta travel with my husky. Never flown a dog but I rarely hear people's stories about how flying pets went smoothly and successfully. Gonna be paying thousands wherever I go :(
n/a hoeskioeh 2017-06-09
Ah, ok. Then a 14h plane ride is indeed not recommended... :-/
n/a qwertyqyle 2017-06-09
Japan is one of the few island countries that is pretty strict on rabies. You will need a microchip, and rabies titer for the pup.
I did it, and it wasn't thousands, but it was hundreds including my time, and the local labs.
If you want to do it, check with your vet. They can get everything ready. It is extremely time sensitive.
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
I've got mine chipped (you have to by law in UK) and a passport and she's fully vaccinated. I just don't trust the airlines as such, hear lots of stories of pets dying due to lack of care from the airport staff
n/a nonbiological_entity 2017-06-09
It's pretty busy! My morning commute is my biggest nightmare but you get used to it over time. Luckily I escape to the mountains and countryside in Kansai on most weekends to relax and replenish my soul.
Good luck to you, my friend! I'm sure you'll make it here one day. 💪
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
Maybe it would be better suited for me to be in the country side! I really appreciate you chatting with me. Thank you and God bless!

How well does one fair in an environment where you don't speak the predominant language?
n/a nonbiological_entity 2017-06-09
My husband can't speak it at all and he gets by fairly well somehow, hahah. It gets difficult if you have to sign up for certain things like health insurance or if you're trying to get a cellphone plan or internet. Japanese people tend to avoid speaking English like the plague but if you're lucky you'll find someone who's willing to use a few words here and there to make communication a little less challenging. As for day-to-day things, living here is completely doable without knowing any Japanese. You're also likely to eventually pick up some words and grammar so that you can order in restaurants and ask for directions and things. Most foreigners here teach and you're not required to know any Japanese for 90% of the teaching positions offered. If you're situated in Tokyo then you could probably live there for years without having used much Japanese at all.

I've always thought Hawaii was the ideal place to live. The people there look genuinely happy and kind-hearted.
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
My brother went for his honeymoon and said there was a sense of community in the air. Everyone lovely and everyone happy. That's definitely a dream to have
n/a Everything_Is_Awful 2017-06-09
Honeymoons and vacations are not the same as living there.
n/a Everything_Is_Awful 2017-06-09
Hawaii is a night to live as a white person unless you're filthy rich. The Japanese own all of the real estate and the natives HATE whites.
A friend of mine moved there with his parents back in the 00's and lived there for four years. His father was a history teacher stateside and wanted to open a restaurant in Hawaii. He couldn't do it and couldn't get a job. My friend ended up working for minimum wage at an adult book store and the three of them scrapped by on his wages until they could move back to the mainland.
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
Interesting
n/a matthewhale28 2017-06-09
Can confirm. Nothing but Japanese tourists, absurdly expensive, and they HATE white people or what they refer to us as "Howli's"
n/a thesadpumpkin 2017-06-09

I lived there three years and they were the worst three years of my life. I'm still dealing with the fallout. Me moving to Hawaii was the worst mistake and greatest regret of my life.

Heartland USA. Friendly people and cheap land.
n/a RealJesebel 2017-06-09
America is a pretty great place to live; not everything is a big city with all of the drama portrayed on TV. We have nearly every climate and some really sparsley populated areas where you could probably literally go live with wolves and no one would know or care. The cultures of each state vary and there is basically something for everyone. Check out Live Free and Die (TV show, a lot is staged but some people literally live very similar to that). In America it is just a matter of finding what state aligns best with your ideology, then checking into which has the most laws/regulations that suit your feeling of freedom for the town you want to move to.
n/a Dippy_Egg 2017-06-09
Here's a link to a site selling a book titled Prudent Places USA. The first edition came out in the early 2000s, they're up to their fourth edition in 2014. As the name implies, it focuses on the US. Thought you might like to look at the list of criteria for which they have collected data. Even though it's US-specific, it's food for the kind of thought you're having.
I'm not trying to sell the book, in fact I haven't bought it myself though I've thought about it since it came out. I just haven't had a use for it since I haven't relocated.
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
Thanks man I'll look into it. I'm not sure if it's places like Washington and New York that put me off the whole of America (I know that's totally ignorant) but I just have the perception in my head that nowhere in America is safe haha. I know I'm probably very wrong, but I'm just completely repulsed by the states
n/a Dippy_Egg 2017-06-09
I live here and I'm repulsed by our federal government. It's a shame that that is what people have come to think of as "america." I've thought about leaving quite a bit. But then I'd be subject to the US's foreign policy which really does frighten me.
I will say this: I do not feel unsafe here except when in the presence of "authorities," primarily police. I'm curious what gives you the perception that America is unsafe? I'm a lifetime resident of the same small village and we still don't lock our doors when we leave the house. There's virtually no crime. (I don't count victimless crimes such as drug arrests as real crime. There is an opiate problem here.) We don't have a local police force.
Closest to feeling "unsafe" that I get is when I think about how much it costs to get sick or injured in this country. That certainly leaves me feeling at the very least, insecure.
n/a natasha2827 2017-06-09
Totally, it's too big for me to have such a vague view on it and I think that's just down to my ignorance. I've visited family there, went to NY and DC and stayed in Virginia. While I thought a lot of it was beautiful and interesting...It sucked lol. I almost had an asthma attack while I was staying in NY fucking lucky I didn't because that would've been costly but I struggled to breathe while I was in the city. I felt safe while I was there but that was way back in the day when I was blissfully unaware of anything regarding the state and federal government. I feel like the US is potentially always under some sort of threat, I feel like the govt pulls on a lot of strings all around the world and lies to the masses far too much. I live in a similar place at the moment in the UK, very safe and nice area but I want to escape false freedom, if ya get me.
n/a Dippy_Egg 2017-06-09
I do hear you, can't argue with you about the US gov't undermining everyone's feelings of safety. I hope you find what you're looking for.

Ah yeah fair enough. What's the current situation in Brazil? Last I heard people were protesting against the government there.
n/a Zybbo 2017-06-09
No, nothing changed.
The situation is in a downward spiral. With no sign of getting better. The common man is in a state between anger and depression.
The more the prosecutors dig into it, more they find. It's like a bottomless pit. And they barely touched the Country's Bank for Development. Petrobras is the tip of the Iceberg.
Ofc this country has never been known for having the best politicians. But in the last decade things became overboard.
Since the worker's party (whose leadership is basically composed of former commie guerrillas) rose to power, corruption became endemic. And the sums involved are insane.
Its no common corruption like we had in the past. Its not some guy taking a share of the public money to get rich. Its systematic pillage benefiting a power scheme that affects whole Latin America. The thing is massive. These guys are literally sucking the country dry.
And where is all that money going? Well, some of it, maybe the smaller part, is going to tax havens and some are going to their fellas: the dictatorship states of Cuba, Venezuela, etc..
We're FUBAR.
n/a Thranduil88 2017-06-09
I am from small city in Latvia , Eastern Europe. We do not have a big deal here, unique nature, lot of farms around in country, if you really want some clean food with no poisons in it. ( of course not all farms make clean food). Country is very clean, you can check that up in internet, one of the cleanest in the world, air is very good because not very populated country and one part of country is forests. But politics here sucks, we do everything USA told us to do, and the salary's is fucked up. Lots of cheap alcohol and cigarettes, whats not so good too.
