Has anyone ever shilled the shills?

1  2017-08-28 by abysmal_chao

I know it would violate Reddits ToS, but if people are shilling anyways...

I see instances of vote manipulation on a few subs (valid topics down voted, valid comments at the very bottom), has anyone ever tried to balance this out by reverse vote manipulation? Honestly just asking out of curiosity.

If you shill a shill then you become a shill too. the disease spreads.

Black hats vs white hats

grey hats

Logic, grammar and rhetoric breaks shills. The Trivium

I get really high and then fuck around with them for entertainment.

I got banned from r/Israel and yet I was personal friends with Donald Rickles.

Oh please do tell the story. :)

How I got banned? Or, how Don Rickles and I had a fight in public?

both!

Please expand upon this

How do you shill a shill?

Same way you troll trolls.

🙂 Okay. Thanks.

No problem, and I wasn't saying you do, but it's the same, which is what I think OP meant. Trolls come here looking to rile people up, there are people who rile up the one's trying to rile up. Not saying I condone, but they are necessary, imo. It's like inception.

Oh, I knew you didn't mean that I troll trolls. 🙂

Good :) ! I have to apparently clarify everything I say, these days...

Well, I read your comments enough that I feel as if I know you. So I usually know what you mean. 🙂

Exactly, balance the unbalanced. But then all sorts of philosophical arguments come up. Who watches the watchmen? What if it's not actually unbalanced and it's just perception? Who would anyone be to vigilantly police? But at the end of the day I see more valid comments at the bottom and bullshit at the top, but then again, maybe that's just ego.

Very good question...

I suppose everything is subjective, as is life.

100% Thank you. You've given me more insight than I was expecting, and honestly I didn't know what expect, besides a fizzled out post.

When it come to metaconspiracy, ie in Reddit conspiracies, everyone seems to want to brush it off a little hard.

Really amazing to hear some teachers out there red-pilling the next generation.

Your definition of what's valid here matters.

I see things I think are useful or valid being buried all the time.

I don't assume that nefarious forces are at work though.

That's a very interesting point. That might be the difference, I usually think the forces are nerfarious.

Just a thought

Tell us, with your 29 day account, how many times you have seen things that are useful get buried.

That's entirely subjective.

I see things I think are useful or valid being buried all the time.

All the time...

Like what? Give examples.

My own comment in the 9/11 teacher thread for one.

I think that's perfectly reasonable but for some reason it's below water

You think the important thing that is gettin buried is ...... your own comment....

Fuck man, you are in the wrong sub.

No, I just engage the Soros shills and they usually have trouble talking about anything other than "Trump is a Nazi" or "SJW's are the future".
