Why is Vegas shooting so fascinating?

Long time lurker and I have noticed Reddit is totally on fire about the Vegas shooting. Just curious why this struck a chord with what seems to be so many people?

Because literally nothing like it has happened in modern US history?

Well, there was a somewhat similar JFK. Where ' one dude?' Shot from up in a building at a target.
And then there was Kent State, where you had the national guard firing on a group of college protestors. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_State_shootings
Then you have the Texas Tower massacre. Where a marine sniper took out some college students. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Texas_tower_shooting
This is a more intense admixture of those.

Mass shootings happen in the U.S. all the time...this isn't all that much different from the Pulse shooting last year.

It's a unique event with MANY unanswered questions. What isn't interesting about it.
It's real life movie type shit.

The only question I have seen left is the motive, and possibly ‘why did he stop shooting’.
Other than that, what?
An old man moved a shit ton of legal ‘might as well be automatic’ weapons into a large hotel room over the course of his three day stay.
He broke out the windows with a hammer while a country festival took place across the street.
He indiscriminately fires into a crowd of 22,000 people, killing at least 58 and injuring 500,over the course of approximately 10 minutes.
The cops clear floor after floor on their way up the the room and breach the door, meanwhile old man kills himself.
Every question I have seen posed in this sub: what about the shootings in other hotels? Is there another shooter? Was the FBI smuggling guns to ISIS and he’s a patsy? Was this man with similar earlobe in the naval academy lads of 1968 the same guy? Has originated from people of 4chan just spouting none sense or occasionally cell phone footage from a panicked and confused person.
I have seen screen-caps of freaking word cited as proof for Christ sake.
It seems that this is a case of too much information, many cell phones and panicked witnesses in Vegas (must be a conspiracy) lead people’s imaginations to get the better of them. Also people desperately seem to want to blame ‘the other side’ and are searching for a reason to do it.

I’d say all of the video footage coupled with a lot that doesn’t seem to make sense about this particular event. A lot of unanswered questions as well as the majority of people yearning for a motive.

Usually they can get together a plausible story on the first day. Now it's day 3 and they still won't release a story. Even normies are waking up because it's taking so long.
1 SenatorAstronomer 2017-10-04
It's a huge event, 3 days is not a long time for an investigation
1 heresmything 2017-10-04
Sandy Hook had a "story" put out within hours. Same with Orlando, San Bernadino and Columbine.
1 SenatorAstronomer 2017-10-04
But there already is a story, as there was one right away.
1 zetswei 2017-10-04
Which is?
1 SenatorAstronomer 2017-10-04
Really?
1 zetswei 2017-10-04
So you have no idea, got it.
1 Itsaduc 2017-10-04
I disagree. Three days does seem long. Usually there is a "something" plausible by now that can shed light, but this is just too weird and too many unanswered questions.

The lack of information given by officials vs. the mass amounts of credible information given by the people.
1 OwlYourBaseBelong2Us 2017-10-04
This.
People become more interested when they can be actively involved in trying to put the pieces together themselves. We're the Decentralized Intelligence Agency of the future.

Credible info by the peeps? May I have an example
1 OwlYourBaseBelong2Us 2017-10-04
Wikileaks is a good example.
1 existentialred 2017-10-04
Thanks! I'm referring to the vegas incident though.

My post history might be a good start.

Two shooters?
1 NewcomerOnTheT-Train 2017-10-04
Basically any info you see besides the official story seems credible.. This is the OFFICIAL story we know = A retired 64 year-old with no fire arm training brought over 40 pounds of guns and ammo up to his hotel room, and killed 59 people in a span of 10 minutes. His brother said he had no motive in a video interview 36 times. His brother also said he did it alone 26 different times in the video interview.... If I said the same thing 36 times in a video interview, you bet your ass I am hiding something. Just go on the front page of this subreddit or type into Youtube 'Vegas 2 shooters', and see for yourself.
1 existentialred 2017-10-04
And if there was two shooters??? What changes and why? The only people I see not going with the info we know officially are those that believe isis did this. Is it so hard to accept that it was another white male.
1 edgarallenbro 2017-10-04
The same people that "did" this also "did" ISIS.
ISIS is not real. Or at least it's not what we're told.
It's a puppet army. A creation of the powers that be to serve as a "common enemy".
1 remmytwentytwo 2017-10-04
Incorrect.
1 Mike_McDermott 2017-10-04
It might be a watershed moment where the public learns the government is working against them instead of for them and with terrible, deadly consequences.
1 agent570358201 2017-10-04
We always analyze big events in this sub; we consider the players, the winners, the losers, the motives... these are all necessary details to understand how plausible a story coming from the top -> down is.
It's really awesome to see more people jumping on board the critical thinking ship.
1 greediestNick 2017-10-04
Could not agree more.
1 damnnnanthony 2017-10-04
The unknown motive. Duh
1 emcee-98 2017-10-04
I haven't seen this mentioned yet:
pad·dock
noun
synonyms:field, meadow, pasture; More
verb
"horses paddocked on a hillside"
Doesn't this seem a little too coincidental/on the nose/wink wink we win?
1 Some-Sort-of-IxFx 2017-10-04
Omg
1 greediestNick 2017-10-04
Mind blown!
1 TimeTakesSoLong 2017-10-04
It is creepy. Paddock/Harvest
1 emcee-98 2017-10-04
Exactly. Forgot about the "Harvest" thing.
1 Putin_loves_cats 2017-10-04
Route 91 harvest festival.
1 spaternkisses 2017-10-04
Especially given how the crowd was corralled(or paddocked, if you will) in a giant mass within a fence below....
1 emcee-98 2017-10-04
Apparently, many people think the fact that this close-eyed patsy's last name is "Paddock" is no reason to raise eyebrows. The critical thinkers know better.
1 Bankster- 2017-10-04
It feels like a government fuck up in every single way and not any sort of 'lone wolf' mass shooting and it was an event on an epic scale like you'd only expect to see in a movie.
1 Kimbellinie 2017-10-04
Because we all have been there!!!
1 callmebaiken 2017-10-04
It's so out in the open logistically, much more than Newtown, Orlando, San Bernardino
1 no1113 2017-10-04
It's the biggest mass shooting in American history, man. Bound to be a lot of people that go "O_o holy shit. WTF happened?"
1 maria_nieves 2017-10-04
Lack of motive, lack of info released by LVPD and FBI.
1 dudeiskate 2017-10-04
It's like someone's trying to destabilize us. It sucks when you can't trust the people who are supposed to be protecting you
1 PyramidsAreCool 2017-10-04
Because nothing about it feels right
1 MomChomsky 2017-10-04
Because it involves a rich white man
1 wigemyr 2017-10-04
The simple fact that everything is being controlled, but the stories they want us to believe make zero sense. The leaked pictures look very staged. The big question is why have we never seen leaks from the Osama Bin Ladin assassination?..... but within hours we are filled with LV misconceptions.... It’s weird. Look at the Boston marathon bombing as another example. Hundreds of real time photos were available online, and are still available. Literally everything in regards to Stephen Paddocks shooting is being concealed.
1 GREIGEMONEY 2017-10-04
Woke vs the Sheeps, Media, CIA/FBI
1 spaternkisses 2017-10-04
I think another huge part is how terrifying the implications are if the story that is currently being pushed is true. There's no enemy. No motive. No way to avoid a future occurrence. I mean, other than "take everyone's guns" rhetoric. If a well off Nevada retiree with no affiliations, no criminal history, no documented mental instability, can bring about this sort of destruction, how.... HOW!? How do we prevent this from ever happening again? How did this happen in the first place. It behooves all of us, from a peace of mind perspective, to evaluate any other alternative, because those might have a real solution... you know?
1 powerofthenose 2017-10-04
Because people are hot for the chance to call bullshit and finally expose one of these disturbing large-scale irrational events as an honest-to-goodness conspiracy, and this one seems like a particularly juicy chance to do so considering the lack of obvious terror or political motive.
