So are we to believe he removed it and threw it out the window or something? This just doesn't make sense.

Honestly if you look at how thorough this guys plans were, this doesn't surprise me at all.

So, there had been two guests in his room. Everyone believes two shooters. Second shooter grabs hard drive, kills Paddock, shoots security guard, and bails.

And if he had his own security cameras as they said, it would be hooked up to a computer WITH a hard drive. This information confirms to me a second shooter or that the Feds are in on it.

Yes, only explanation for the hard drive to be missing is if he threw it out the window. Makes more sense the other guest took it out and bailed.

Maybe he flushed it down the toilet. /s

It couldn't live with the guilt and was found with two bullet holes to the disc.
Cops believe it was a solid state of suicide

I thought the cameras were video baby monitors, not wifi web cams. So you wouldn't need a laptop for that.

Dumb question, but if this was such a well orchestrated plot then why even have a laptop with anything incriminating on it in the hotel room? There's always the chance something could go wrong and you don't have time to grab the hard drives so why risk it? If you absolutely need a computer for the security cams or whatever, just bring a clean one that doesn't have anything useful on it. Same with cell phones, tablets, or whatever else he might have had in the room.

Conspicuously fetid.

Okay...

Adam Lanza did this too, so did James Holmes. Remember to trash your PC before your suicide mission.......
1 Some-Sort-of-IxFx 2017-10-25
Did they take their laptops with them to the site of the mass shooting?
1 hyon420 2017-10-25
Lanza destroyed his at home, and Holmes boobytrapped his house. I see that the Boston Bombers conspired to destroy their laptop too. This is par for the course - surveillance footage somehow disappears too.

You didn't answer the question.

Comet Ping Pong aswell.

This also happened to The guy who killed his daughter and himself after the charger found in the room traced to him.
1 Some-Sort-of-IxFx 2017-10-25
Is there any credible evidence that that specific charger was in Paddock's suite?

Not that I’ve found.

Just thought of this as a possibility, what if the team that was escorting out "secuirty footage" from Tropicana really was escorting the hard drive? Can someone really prove who they were and what they had? Thoughts?

there was a report that mentioned the bag the larger man in white towards the back of the swat unit was carrying contained 2.5-3.0 million in casino chips, but I honestly don't even know what to believe anymore. Literally nothing makes sense.
1 Comethatmebro 2017-10-25
Yeah I remember hearing something like that too, but does anyone know where that report came from?

Maybe he never had a hard drive . Usb Linux

Slippin jimmy with the drinkin problem not only has gun expertise but is now a keyfob toting mrrobot wannabe. Sounds completely realistic.

How difficult do you think it is to figure out a bootable usb linux flash drive? Unetbootin will literally download the iso and install it for you. I've run laptops before this way and it's not hard, drunk or not.
1 rear_naked_toke 2017-10-25
Non techies or random normies would have no idea what this post means, especially most people of paddocks age.
1 guitarplayer0171 2017-10-25
He set up cameras outside of his hotel room, and from everything we've seen, he meticulously planned this, his age does not preclude him from being halfway decent with technology. Like I said above, there's tools that make setting this stuff up a literal one click deal. Easier to pull the flash drive out of the laptop and flush it or something than pulling the hard drive would have been.
1 HangryBuffaloBill 2017-10-25
how easy is it to remove a laptop hard drive?
1 thebabyseagull 2017-10-25
I'd just destroy the whole computer.
Computers no good with no hard drive. Especially if your dead.
1 HangryBuffaloBill 2017-10-25
i dont see why he wouldnt shoot it haha
1 polyphenus 2017-10-25
Depends on the computer. Some have the hard drive under the keyboard where the user just pops a couple of tabs, pulls back the keyboard, and pulls out the drive. Other computers have the hard drive installed in a slot or bay underneath the computer which can only be accessed by removing a couple of screws before opening the compartment.
Has info been released on what kind of laptop they found? This would shed a lot of light on how easy it would be to remove the hard drive.
1 HangryBuffaloBill 2017-10-25
not sure what kind.
1 Boingoloid 2017-10-25
Are we sure he didn't wipe it, you know, with a cloth? Same investigative bodies that declared fire to be the cause of a total catastrophic skyscraper failure, same investigative bodies that can't tell an intrusion from a local offload...
1 Guano- 2017-10-25
He was there for multiple days in the hotel, he could of removed it any time before the shooting and chucked in the trash on the strip.
