What do you think about bigfoot?

I've always had a moderate interest in bigfoot. I don't believe bigfoot exists but there are certainly a lot of mysterious events that occur adjacent to bigfoot. My theory is that bigfoot was started as a hoax to distract people from all of the disappearances and deaths in national parks. It was such a viral idea that it grew out of control and took on a life of its own.

I think bigdick is more elusive.

I think Cryptozoology in general can be really fascinating...if you think Bigfoot is an interesting thought experiment, look up Mokele-mbembe.

100 % REAL. Numerous long haul truck drivers have seen it walk right in front of their trucks in rural Canada, Washington State etc. Amazon Prime Video has numerous top notch documentaries on Bigfoot right now.

Truckers are the best source? We have color footage of uncontacted humans tribes from some of the most remote parts of the earth and yet the best evidence of bigfoot is a 60 year old grainy clip?

massive amounts of detailed encounters on this website https://www.bfro.net/GDB/default.asp

I just don't buy "encounters" as evidence. I've been in the woods most of my life and know how easy it is think you've seen something.

The idea goes back to a time prior to the existence of national parks.

Personally, I really hope it is a real, flesh and blood creature. But the more I look into it, I don't think that's the case, sadly.

I think people were disappearing in those areas long before they were national parks.

So the Native American leaders came up with the idea to keep their tribes in the dark?

They had myths, like every culture on earth. I think the bigfoot hoax was built around those myths to ground it in reality.

Point taken. But the Patterson film is 50 years old. When did people missing in National Parks start happening? And if the gov't is covering it up with BF, what do you think the true cause of the disappearances is?

Excellent website with detailed accounts of North American sightings by region https://www.bfro.net/GDB/default.asp

Hard to say since I've never seen the beast myself but I have stayed in its roaming alleged roaming grounds (Willow Creek) for a few months and some people seem pretty convinced. Also I have seen the video and it's true human knees don't bend like that, it'd have to be quite an elaborate costume for the time.

The Mitochondrial DNA has been sequenced. The species is 15,000 years old. It originated with a human woman and an unknown male. The head of the project believes the biblical stories of the Nephilim have truth. Look into the Sasquatch Genome Project for scientific details.

I might have to look into the sasquatch genome project again, but I remember being unimpressed by their revelations a while ago.

i enjoyed 'Harry and the Hendersons'... tho i haven't watched it in over a decade. like Fox Mulder, " i want to believe' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DOX1Poxro4

Never met the man, but he sure seems shy.

From what I have read and heard, I think that it is somewhat likely that they exist, as do the slightly similar creature referred to as the Skunk Ape. But the sasquatch and the skunk ape are not native to this reality. They both seem to have a natural ability to shift to alternate universes. The Skunk Apes seem to be from a reality that is much more divergent than the one that the Sasquatch is from, as they have a lot of reptilian characteristics, indicating that, if they are from a divergent timeline, it is possibly one where the dinosaurs weren't wiped out.

Just to be clear though I am not trying to persuade you in either direction, just laying this out as possible directions to explore.

Bigfoot is real. I saw one in my window when I was a kid--before I ever knew what a bigfoot was. My parents didn't believe me and yelled at me to go back to sleep. I was a kid and scared shitless.

Interdimensional beings.

Actually they have been known to disappear right in front of people and have been seen in and around UFO numerous times. Eddie Bravo is actually extremely intelligent and a very good person.

I'm openminded about pretty much everything these days. And I concur, Eddie is good.

I talked to Melba Ketchum once. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that she honestly believes she's encountered Bigfoot, and even sequenced DNA.

At the same time, I'm married to a genetic anthropologist. She finds the idea of an extant cryptohominid completely impossible, but a cool idea regardless. I'm with her.

Nothing shocks or surprises me anymore, so sure why not.
