That's just not true - they've realeased an enormous amount of data since then, including thousands and thousands of docs on how CIA's secret evesdropping software and tools work. Just because it's not about Hillary or Trump doesn't mean it isn't important.
What they've released has basically been nothing more than confirmation of what people, and certainly other governments, already knew. It doesn't have to be Hillary or Trump, but it is curious how 7/10 promised dumps on Hillary never happened after his "Internet was cut off." The day before that, Jennifer Palmeri(sp?) tweeted "If something comes out tomorrow, it's not what you think!" Video of the blackmail of politicians? Kids? Pizza? I guess we'll never know.
Yes, confirmation being the important word. Many people were talking about what the NSA was doing, but few believed it until Snowden stole the docs and released them proving all the claims about mass surveillance.
yeah the rabbit hole goes deep. They could announce they signed a peace treaty with the galactic confederation, that nazis live on the moon, that their is a entire civilization of space faring reptiles living inside the earth, and someone would say "Well I already knew that! I've been trying to tell people for years!" confirmations are good things, we need that. the public needs to know whats up, and there need to be multiple verifiable easy to find sources.
Like people said, confirmation is good. We knew (most people knew shit happened there or at least assumed it) Hollywood was fucked but receiving confirmation and having people come out is nice.
On the other hand small drop confirming things just makes you forget it. Hollywood dropped a few and they still have a whole group there doing whatever. And new people will continue for years again.
Confirming things just let's the masses sit back and relax. Thinking they are on the job and will catch everyone!
Complacency.
And it works. Confirming something obvious is an easy way to do such.
If WikiLeaks information was accurate then it meant the people implicated would take coverup actions with deliberate timing, probably as soon as feasible. It's not even hard to fake an identity on the internet. Shutting up Assange was key. The persecution gave him legitimacy. If he is dead there's a new mouthpiece that can spit out truth and disinfo in the same breath.coughAlexJones Credibility can be exploited. It's an effective propaganda strategy. Push an agenda, muddy the waters, silence an opponent. That's three motives. What is the motive to let Assange and friends live?
If WikiLeaks was just sloppy garbage would we really see such a convoluted and suspicious chain of events? How do you explain their seeming accuracy and predictive power? How do you counter the evidence they assemble?
If WikiLeaks was controlled intelligence from the beginning why would so many incriminating documents be released?
Exactly, we are in for a real shit show mark my words.
He even told us they would do everything in their power to make it look like he's still alive which is why the PGP key signature is the only true proof of life. Has he enacted the proof of life? No, because Foolian is not Julian and therefore he does not have the key.
Foolian's explanation for not signing the key was that it would just prove that the person had it. Which of course is exactly the point but people are stupid so they believed the lame ass reasoning.
Is that Julian though? Julian explicitly told us if there was ever any doubt on his wellbeing he would sign something with the highsecurity PGP key.
Well there was lots of doubt on his wellbeing, and he never signed with the key or even clear up a single ounce of what happened.
Don't let them fool you.
That's not him.
Where did he say PGP would be his proof of life? From what I remember he didn't want to sign anything with his PGP because it would set a precedent of a PGP being proof of life when it really isn't good enough. He has been outside the embassy since october and did a little speech. He was in front of tons of people so I'm not so sure he is dead.
When FBIAnon said the CIA was going to launch a brilliant psyop against wikileaks I believe this is what he was talking about. How hard is it really to have some suspicious vans roaming around the embassy and then to cut his internet. Then seed the rumors around that he has been murdered, along with doing the blockchain psyop and boom you have people still doubting to this day if he is alive or not.
Years ago when he released the insurance files the second batch. I can't find any articles or video on it (fancy that) but surely you can remember the first thing his supporters demanded that he sign the key. They didn't do this for no reason.
Everything you say to rebut this is based on new après Oct 16 Foolian's words.

It's fine that you think different from me, but with all the aggression going on here on reddit and the world in general, why can't you just explain in a polite manner?
Replying to @aavelle
This morning, an inadvertent keystroke by an authorized user of the U.S. Navy Office of Information's Digitial Media Engagement Team caused the trending term "Julian Assange" to be tweeted from the Navy's official Twitter account (@USNavy).
If it's the dead man's switch from when the account got deleted it wouldn't be associated with the website because if someone had Julian's Twitter they'd have the website too
That doesn't mean don't be cautious and blindly believe
It's pretty common for them to put out large encrypted insurance files on torrent before releasing the full context of what they contain. That gets it seeded in the public in case the authorities decide to intervene and a dead man's switch would then release keys. If I had to guess they probably invaded the lawyer's office the other day to figure out the mechanism of the switch in order to defeat it. Who knows maybe this file is different but I don't find it more suspicious than usual. Could also be a threat in case people are currently leaning on JA.
Well isn't the point of torrenting that once you gain some seeders it becomes much more decentralized to traffic? Hosting it's not that much but bandwidth would quickly become an issue.
This torrent wasn't tweeted on any official twitter handles, not linked on their official website, etc. Just this direct torrent DL link being passed around.
verification is easy af just check the hashes that and the pgp key would help a little. but yes it is their insurance file which has been around sine 2012 i think, and if the filename wasnt altered. but they do periodically post/"drop" it to make it sure its kept accessible.
The narrative pieces seem to be “massive let down”. “It’s edited”, “why is this relevant now?”
Have you people who are saying this downloaded and analyzed the material? Doubtful. So why are you trying to deter people from viewing? One reason only.
I noticed when he first came back he was following just 5 accounts. Now it's up to 24. I wonder who he's following this time around. (I cant see ATM on mobile not logged in)
I'm not trying to sow any doubt but as Q says, everything has meaning and there are no coincidences. After a raid on his lawyers offices and a wipe of his Twitter, this could be a type of distress signal to his confidantes. Time will tell though.
It's not as racist as twitter, but there are some racists on Gab. It's free speech though, whereas with twitter you get racists and suppression of free speech.
Funny, I've had Twitter longer than anything & have no issues. But I've always noticed with Twitter, you really only get out of it what you choose to follow or not block, when applicable.
As for Racism, only thing I saw on gab was shit talk towards white people..? Whatever, the app sucked & is poorly coded, no wonder they're so cranky.
What's super fucked up is that they picked Christmas on purpose. I would have sent a message to a few friends letting them know what happened but now I won't because it would seem trite to be sending them that shit today. Genius move.
While not required, you are requested to use the NP (No Participation) domain of reddit when crossposting. This helps to protect both your account, and the accounts of other users, from administrative shadowbans. The NP domain can be accessed by replacing the "www" in your reddit link with "np".
Rest in peace Seth Rich, I believe you died a hero. I don't care who makes fun of me, assumes my politics or won't be my friend. I will honor Rich as well as others who gave their lives exposing the truth.
I don't have certainty or proof of my belief. Even if I am wrong he has become a symbol. What if our heroes growing up weren't athletes and soldiers but whistleblowers?
This is just one of the few insurance files that have been distributed throughout the years. It is encrypted with AES-256bit keys. Pretty much uncrackable unless you got a quantum computer.
Installing a virtual machine right now to download. Seems fake though, probably just someone trying to capitalize on Assange's twitter going down. I am assuming this is a 65gb file of nothing with a cryptominer or some other malware. We will see later on today though.
it not new, looks to be one of the insurance files from around 2012. idk if has been updated or not but the generated file suggest that it is the same file as it suggest it was originally created on feb 22nd 2012.
Did anyone figure out what this was? It was released in 2012 but it still can't be opened? I didn't expect much traction with this. Just a tweet I saw.
Edit: the 2012 could be from WEINERS LAPTOP OH WELL LET ME KNOW I'M DOWNLOADING - HIS SHIT GOT DELETED - THATS A RED FLAG - THIS IS SOME GOOD SHIT IMO!!!
I'm just flabbergasted that you can't deduce the relevancy of this now... It's full of Clinton, Huma, all of that shit, doing sick satanic pedo weird shit, it's called life insurance for a reason - talk about shit getting dropped that will drain the swamp - the relevancy is through the roof
Given how cravenly he went after Clinton during the election -- four years after this archive would have been made -- I don't think he has material left to salvo.
I'm guessing the contents of this package, if legit, are a shotgun -- just everything they received that wasn't A-level deep cuts.
Well, apparently, this is an old insurance release and I'm no longer surprised by Twitter outages: remember when Rose-Anne got banned? I never caught the explanation for that.
Pretty sure we are seeing automated anti-intrusion systems in play. Chances are the Twitter accounts were accessed in an irregular way, so they lock it down until Two-Factor authentication can ensure the right user is connecting.
That said, I miss the days when Wikileaks just released diplomatic cables. They've changed a lot since then. They've gotten stuck on specific obsessions and almost as sensationalist as the mainstream media, and there's a strange bias I can't quite put my finger on.
Rosanne got banned immediately after asking "who is q" and her website got blocked too... that one's obvious. You didn't know that? Damn... Also not quite, his twitter was deleted and all of his followers too, while the navy tweeted "julian assange" - yeah no fucking way - not a chance in hell this is "coincidence" hahaha
She actually promised to explain that one. I suspect there is more to it -- Twitter can't deactivate your website.
I feel like you don't really understand what coincidence is and have a hard time with causality: what if I told you the Navy tweeted that after his account disappeared, in response to it?
Nothing suggests this is related to Clinton, Huma, Podesta or anything, really. All we can gather is that it may be an insurance package.
I've yet to see a leak strongly suggesting "sick satanic pedo weird shit". The closest was 'spirit cooking', and that was a real nothingburger at the end of the day.
This package is from 2012: this suggests we may have already seen the contents of this file released, and that the files are likely unrelated to the Clinton email leaks, as those included emails from after this package would be made [the last Clinton emails date to 2014, so unless they were fabricated, they won't be in this archive].
If the package contents were verifiable, they would likely have been released publically in a previous leak. Chances are this is supporting documentation or unverified information deemed unworthy of release: too suspect or too tenuous.
Assange is online Twitter again and he doesn't seem to be acknowledging this release. I don't know if this file has been authenticated at all by Wikileaks.
So, I have to ask: why should I presume this content is Weiner's laptop? Why should I presume this is Clinton related, and not just a grand dump of all Wikileaks files from the era? Should we believe anything we're told?
There could be. They could be releasing all the data they've been teasing us with for years. We'll see in a couple days. Maybe I'll totally be proven wrong, but I really really doubt it.
Snowden and Assange are almost certainly both honeypots / leaks coordinated by higher levels of the power structure. DL with caution from behind 7 proxies.
I don't know the story attached to this seems stupid like Clinton had an affair with Bin Laden? Is this like a practical joke or something? I'm getting off reddit and gonna go drinking.

It's confirmation right from the horses' mouths. That's what makes WikiLeaks so powerful. It completely decimates all arguments about "credibility".

Military rebellion against the deep state
50 jacktherer 2017-12-25
wouldnt they just put a new drop on their website?
34 digiorno 2017-12-25
I agree, suspicious as heck if it's not on their website too...
18 IAMAExpertInBirdLaw 2017-12-25
If it's the dead man's switch from when the account got deleted it wouldn't be associated with the website because if someone had Julian's Twitter they'd have the website too
That doesn't mean don't be cautious and blindly believe
19 jasron_sarlat 2017-12-25
It's pretty common for them to put out large encrypted insurance files on torrent before releasing the full context of what they contain. That gets it seeded in the public in case the authorities decide to intervene and a dead man's switch would then release keys. If I had to guess they probably invaded the lawyer's office the other day to figure out the mechanism of the switch in order to defeat it. Who knows maybe this file is different but I don't find it more suspicious than usual. Could also be a threat in case people are currently leaning on JA.
15 captaindunbar 2017-12-25
65gbs a lot of data to host if you're expecting a lot of traffic
22 f1del1us 2017-12-25
Well isn't the point of torrenting that once you gain some seeders it becomes much more decentralized to traffic? Hosting it's not that much but bandwidth would quickly become an issue.
1 Stantoninus 2017-12-25
They can pad out the data with filler to obscure its actual size
3 captaindunbar 2017-12-25
Most certainly, but that doesn't change the fact that the download size is still 65gbs does it?
7 ver0egiusto 2017-12-25
This torrent wasn't tweeted on any official twitter handles, not linked on their official website, etc. Just this direct torrent DL link being passed around.
3 mrhappyoz 2017-12-25
Well, considering Julian Assange’s twitter account has been deleted, I’m not surprised.
3 ver0egiusto 2017-12-25
It's been un-deleted
2 mrhappyoz 2017-12-25
Kinda. A new account was created. Who is the owner?
2 LordRedbeard420 2017-12-25
Not necessarily in the case of the dead man switch scenario.. But I agree, still weird though.
48 jimmyfeign 2017-12-25
How is this verified from Wikileaks at all? No mention on their website or either Twitter...???
31 lubenyuan 2017-12-25
It is not verified and it is an old insurance file.
13 7thhokage 2017-12-25
verification is easy af just check the hashes that and the pgp key would help a little. but yes it is their insurance file which has been around sine 2012 i think, and if the filename wasnt altered. but they do periodically post/"drop" it to make it sure its kept accessible.
17 NotDaFeds 2017-12-25
The narrative pieces seem to be “massive let down”. “It’s edited”, “why is this relevant now?”
Have you people who are saying this downloaded and analyzed the material? Doubtful. So why are you trying to deter people from viewing? One reason only.
2 lol_AwkwardSilence_ 2017-12-25
Assumptions built out of ignorance?
3 NotDaFeds 2017-12-25
Or just run of the mill shill shit.
Edit: flagging all these fools.
0 lol_AwkwardSilence_ 2017-12-25
The top thread in here seems reasonable though. Following /u/jimmyfeign 's comment.
16 drellby_primpton 2017-12-25
What message are they sending with this timing?
15 OYou812 2017-12-25
No idea if this is real or a LARP.

JulianAssanges twitter is back. https://twitter.com/JulianAssange
Little Blue Diamond and everything.
13 Deaddwarf26 2017-12-25
I noticed when he first came back he was following just 5 accounts. Now it's up to 24. I wonder who he's following this time around. (I cant see ATM on mobile not logged in)
19 starry7833378333 2017-12-25
https://twitter.com/JulianAssange/following
It's a lot of UN folk. State dept's in there too.
14 Deaddwarf26 2017-12-25
doesn't he normally just follow wikileaks?
11 starry7833378333 2017-12-25
Yes.
10 Deaddwarf26 2017-12-25
then this is mildly troubling.
3 Tang_Fan 2017-12-25
Why, what does that mean?
13 Deaddwarf26 2017-12-25
I'm not trying to sow any doubt but as Q says, everything has meaning and there are no coincidences. After a raid on his lawyers offices and a wipe of his Twitter, this could be a type of distress signal to his confidantes. Time will tell though.
8 ragegenx 2017-12-25
This plus the US Navy twitter posting "Julian Assange".
This may be trouble
1 wwwes32 2017-12-25
That part doesn't mean shit, but the rest is very curious.
3 ovamopice 2017-12-25
It may be a distress signal, but it could also mean his actual account has been compromised, no? Certainly curious events today..
2 MekongDelta7 2017-12-25
He tweeted a picture of Santa's naughty list. Maybe the people he's following are on the naughty list.
4 Sachyriel 2017-12-25
Also IDK if Gab has a verification thing, so, like the people in the Gab thread say, it could be a fake account.
-1 tb21666 2017-12-25
So is Gab just a free speech thing or is it really a nonsensical racist platform like the media tends to portray?
3 Sachyriel 2017-12-25
It can be both. But just like voat it only attracted people kicked off mainstream sites.
6 tb21666 2017-12-25
So I'm not really missing anything by not having installed & tried it out. Thanks.
1 MrInternetDetective 2017-12-25
Yeah it’s an okay site, still has plenty of room for improvement
2 tb21666 2017-12-25
Right on, that's not really an issue from my POV.
My only concern was being associated with racist nonsense if I did in fact ever check it out.
Interesting; Just went to their desktop site & the cover page is nothing but news articles..?
Guess you have to actually sign up & dig a little deeper for the real shit shows to pop up?
2 freesp33chisstilldea 2017-12-25
It's a racist shithole just like voat is.
1 tb21666 2017-12-25
2nd time today I'm hearing of this 'Voat' was never aware prior.
2 freesp33chisstilldea 2017-12-25
Consider yourself lucky.
1 MekongDelta7 2017-12-25
It's not as racist as twitter, but there are some racists on Gab. It's free speech though, whereas with twitter you get racists and suppression of free speech.
1 tb21666 2017-12-25
Funny, I've had Twitter longer than anything & have no issues. But I've always noticed with Twitter, you really only get out of it what you choose to follow or not block, when applicable.
As for Racism, only thing I saw on gab was shit talk towards white people..? Whatever, the app sucked & is poorly coded, no wonder they're so cranky.
-3 aqua7 2017-12-25
I am still "following". Just saying.
1 DancesWithPugs 2017-12-25
I can confirm it was down earlier and back now, from clicking in this thread.
Thanks for the update, Merry Xmas
0 colordrops 2017-12-25
What's super fucked up is that they picked Christmas on purpose. I would have sent a message to a few friends letting them know what happened but now I won't because it would seem trite to be sending them that shit today. Genius move.

Deadmans switch since Assange has gone silent? c:
10 technicalogical 2017-12-25
Well, I got a VM installed and started downloading the file. Looks like this is going to be a let down.
The file is titled: "wikileaks-insurance-20120222.tar.bz2.aes.
This file was sent out on Feb 22, 2012 and was 65gb according to this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/WikiLeaks/comments/1dml2e/what_was_the_wikileaks_insurance_file_from_feb_22/

Bummer.
Edit: It looks like the file was never opened. " no decryption keys were published" Hmm?
2 technicalogical 2017-12-25
Yup, I'm still downloading, it's pretty slow though.
10 gravitas73 2017-12-25
Hoping it’s 65GB of “His name was Seth Rich” repeated over and over
1 DancesWithPugs 2017-12-25
Rest in peace Seth Rich, I believe you died a hero. I don't care who makes fun of me, assumes my politics or won't be my friend. I will honor Rich as well as others who gave their lives exposing the truth.
I don't have certainty or proof of my belief. Even if I am wrong he has become a symbol. What if our heroes growing up weren't athletes and soldiers but whistleblowers?
Be inspired by his courage.
-1 cutol 2017-12-25
If compressed size of that text were 65gb, how large would it be uncompressed? Like 500jb?
1 w0rdd 2017-12-25
Look up how a zip bomb works
1 cutol 2017-12-25
I know how that works, I used to do those back in the 90s. I was just curious if someone could math this up.
7 qoloku 2017-12-25
Can anyone verify that https://wlstorage.net was ever used by Wikileaks? If not, I’d definitely stick to https://file.wikileaks.org to avoid malware.
1 Xogmaster 2017-12-25
good catch
6 izzzzzzzzzzzzz 2017-12-25
this is an enourmous amount of data. We need all the help we can get going through it. Ive started downloading it
13 faygitraynor 2017-12-25
Be wary of malware. Do what others are doing and install it on a VM
7 izzzzzzzzzzzzz 2017-12-25
yup, thats 100% my intention. I am proceeding with caution
2 UncleJakeNWO 2017-12-25
Please update us if it’s anything substantial. Unfortunately some of us (me) are not the most tech savvy when it comes to these things.
1 technicalogical 2017-12-25
This is just one of the few insurance files that have been distributed throughout the years. It is encrypted with AES-256bit keys. Pretty much uncrackable unless you got a quantum computer.

22 technicalogical 2017-12-25
Installing a virtual machine right now to download. Seems fake though, probably just someone trying to capitalize on Assange's twitter going down. I am assuming this is a 65gb file of nothing with a cryptominer or some other malware. We will see later on today though.
9 IAMAExpertInBirdLaw 2017-12-25
The NSA can already cross the VM barrier
18 technicalogical 2017-12-25
I don't doubt that. I'm more concerned with run of the mill malware. If the NSA wants on my box, they are going to do it one way or another.
2 technicalogical 2017-12-25
Well... My LastPass somehow got signed out. That's a tad bit strange...

1 NewSouthernBelle 2017-12-25
Be careful. What if it's a trap and is something you wouldn't want to be associated with?
0 technicalogical 2017-12-25
Meh, fairly certain it was just a larper. The file is from 2012 and there is no password to unlock it.
1 7thhokage 2017-12-25
it not new, looks to be one of the insurance files from around 2012. idk if has been updated or not but the generated file suggest that it is the same file as it suggest it was originally created on feb 22nd 2012.
1 UnhelpfulJelly 2017-12-25
Y'all better be careful there. this domain was shown to have malware on it in 2015:

1 smartdumby 2017-12-25
Nobody is explaining how this is WikiLeaks sponsored.
1 OYou812 2017-12-25
Did anyone figure out what this was? It was released in 2012 but it still can't be opened? I didn't expect much traction with this. Just a tweet I saw.

-1 GlipGlopSuperMop 2017-12-25
HE'S RELEASED WEINERS SHIT GO GO GO!!!!
Edit: the 2012 could be from WEINERS LAPTOP OH WELL LET ME KNOW I'M DOWNLOADING - HIS SHIT GOT DELETED - THATS A RED FLAG - THIS IS SOME GOOD SHIT IMO!!!
6 Dzugavili 2017-12-25
You may be downloading a couple thousand of his dick pics for all we know.
Until we get more context, this seems odd. Why would it be relevant now?
0 GlipGlopSuperMop 2017-12-25
I'm just flabbergasted that you can't deduce the relevancy of this now... It's full of Clinton, Huma, all of that shit, doing sick satanic pedo weird shit, it's called life insurance for a reason - talk about shit getting dropped that will drain the swamp - the relevancy is through the roof
7 Dzugavili 2017-12-25
So many buzzwords.
Given how cravenly he went after Clinton during the election -- four years after this archive would have been made -- I don't think he has material left to salvo.
I'm guessing the contents of this package, if legit, are a shotgun -- just everything they received that wasn't A-level deep cuts.
1 GlipGlopSuperMop 2017-12-25
Yeah i go overboard sometimes, but let's hope this has something in it at least - still crazy his twitter got momentarily banned
1 Dzugavili 2017-12-25
1 GlipGlopSuperMop 2017-12-25
Rosanne got banned immediately after asking "who is q" and her website got blocked too... that one's obvious. You didn't know that? Damn... Also not quite, his twitter was deleted and all of his followers too, while the navy tweeted "julian assange" - yeah no fucking way - not a chance in hell this is "coincidence" hahaha
1 Dzugavili 2017-12-25
She actually promised to explain that one. I suspect there is more to it -- Twitter can't deactivate your website.
I feel like you don't really understand what coincidence is and have a hard time with causality: what if I told you the Navy tweeted that after his account disappeared, in response to it?
1 CaptainApollyon 2017-12-25
some people seem to think if its unbelievable that must mean its fake.
2 Dzugavili 2017-12-25
Well:
2 GlipGlopSuperMop 2017-12-25
Yeah, but then if it kept happening, it would rub on them eventually.
1 DancesWithPugs 2017-12-25
Seriously? I hope to see some good posts tomorrow.
-3 curiosity36 2017-12-25
Even if this were legit....they''d be withholding, how much, 80 percent of what they claim to have? Out with it already.
3 SoaringMoon 2017-12-25
The entirety of wikipedia is compressed down to 100gb or so. So there could be much more data in there than you think.
1 curiosity36 2017-12-25
There could be. They could be releasing all the data they've been teasing us with for years. We'll see in a couple days. Maybe I'll totally be proven wrong, but I really really doubt it.
-3 crestind 2017-12-25
Snowden and Assange are almost certainly both honeypots / leaks coordinated by higher levels of the power structure. DL with caution from behind 7 proxies.
-9 follyboyz 2017-12-25
I don't know the story attached to this seems stupid like Clinton had an affair with Bin Laden? Is this like a practical joke or something? I'm getting off reddit and gonna go drinking.
