Every religion is bad.

It's just as silly as Christianity

Its not, its just atheistic individualism but Edgy

No, that's the "Church of Satan."

The distinction is important.

I read all the major medieval grimoires, and have read even Owen Davies academic book on the history of the occult.

So tell me what I don't know.

Not talking to you, dipshit.

So what are you talking about? Theistic satanism? Luciferianism? The Order of Nine Angels? Reactive Satanists?

Atheistic, edgy "Satanism" = the church of Satan.

That's it.

Satanism is bad because it encourages the destruction of innocence.. it also encourages violence and nihilism.

Says who?

Says anyone who knows anything.

I know that in the bible, Yaweh is responsible for multiple infanticides and genocides, as well as trying to wipe out all of humanity. That seems quite a bit more like "destruction of innocence."

What did Satan do in the bible, that compares to that kind of bloodthirst?

It was satan who brought sin to humans resulting in genocides and infanticides and attempted destruction of all humanity. God saved us from this through His Son, Jesus. The serpent outright lied to humans about the consequences of eating the fruit bec he was driven by bloodthirsty hate.

You seem to be familiar with that story. Please show me where Satan is mentioned directly in Genesis.

I know people like to guess, and make assumptions about Genesis. But I'm really curious where Satan is hiding in Genesis. I've never seen him mentioned, and I've looked several times. Did he create this tree that people liked, too, and put it right in front of people who weren't supposed to eat it?

Genesis 3

“1Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

2The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ”

4“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5“For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

There's no Satan there.

See, when I learned English some years ago, I was told that words mean things. So when I say "serpent", for example, it means... serpent, snake, reptile. Y'know, something specific.

But you're telling me that I can make words mean whatever I want them to mean?! Sweet! I hereby declare that when the Bible says "serpent", what it really means is "Derek Jeter."

Did you know that Derek Jeter is the jerk responsible for the downfall of humanity?! Yeah, that asshole told her stuff, and made her eat stuff, and now god hates us forever. God damn Derek Jeter...

It's right there in Genesis, for everyone to see.

So clever, just like the serpent.

I don't think Derek Jeter's very clever. Sure, the bible says he was, 6,000 years ago, but I just don't see it. He seems more... blank slate... to me.

You are very clever, and manipulative.

Yeah but what's their source? The Bible could simply be a work of anti-Satanist propaganda by what was at the time a rival sect.

Sounds familiar, a lie from the father of lies. How original. \s

The Seven Satanic Tenets -One should strive to act with compassion and empathy towards all creatures in accordance with reason.

-The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.

-One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.

-The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo your own.

-Beliefs should conform to our best scientific understanding of the world. We should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit our beliefs.

People are fallible. If we make a mistake, we should do our best to rectify it and resolve any harm that may have been caused.

-Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word

Then why pedosadism and ritual murders?

I’ve never done either of those things in my life, broseph

Well you aren’t going to get very far then.

Just like the devil it promises good things but always ends up making your life worse. Those who strive for fame and fortune and gain it, are often miserable later in life.

Obviously you didn't read the thread I linked to in the OP.

What do you believe in? Important stuff so I'm glad you are researching it.

Read the thread in the original post.

It's bad because Christian's have taken a minor, insignificant character mentioned a couple times in the Bible, and inflated him into this mythical bogeyman who's responsible for all the "bad stuff."

It prevents most Christians from reading their bible with a clear mind, and figuring out who the real bad guy is.

Yaweh/Elohim.

That guy's a sadistic moster who makes Satan look like a poster amateur.

Maybe the bad guy is the friends we made along the way

This is literally Luciferian doctrine. Lucifer is not going to jailbreak you. He's here to deceive you so that your eternal soul ends up in the lake of fire with him.

Repent and believe the gospel to be saved:

1Co 15:1  Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  1Co 15:2  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  1Co 15:3  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  1Co 15:4  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Lucifer wants your flesh to die without your soul being washed clean of sin by the blood of Jesus Christ's perfect sacrifice. All you have to do is repent and believe the above gospel and that's it. God made it extremely easy in this dispensation.

You seem to know more than I do about Lucifer. I don't believe that a mistranslation of a word for Venus has any say so in my own life. Wait, did you think that "Lucifer" was an actual being...?

Well read this, and we can both have a small chuckle at how christians have been fearing a glorified typo, all these years. :)

http://jdstone.org/cr/files/luciferaproblemforchristianity.html

True Christians don't fear him at all. He has many names. He's the same spirit. There is a reason Lucifer has been removed from modern Bibles and so many think he's the good guy. He's also glorified in Hollywood/Music for the same reason.

I address 1 Cor. 15 in the thread I linked to in the original post.

i don't quite understand... what does debating the historicity of jesus have to do with satanism?

(i did read thread, apart from the long citations)

Like all inanimate things - it is neither good nor evil. Just knowledge, to be applied by good or bad people.

No such thing. Any loving God would not allow you to suffer at the hands of satan/hell.

I’ve never done either of those things in my life, broseph
