How do you "wake" someone up?????

I just had a conversation with a co-worker about people in power having ill intentions and trying to manipulate the masses using social engineering and propaganda. I used examples from history of Elites manipulating the masses to control them. Such as World War II being financed by International bankers. I gave him modern-day example of such as George Soros, Bilderberg Group, shareblue, and the Koch brothers. He basically refused to acknowledge any of my view points and called it a stretch.

He asked how come none of the people at the top have come forward? Why the masses of people like us conspiracy theorists haven't created a movement yet. He also asked why should he care if he can't stop it or it doesn't affect him directly...

I basically countered all of his points but he refused to give up....it's annoying when someone like that refuses to give up.

I believe in the right to have guns but I was playing Devil's Advocate about gun control for fun with him. He just refused to concede any of the points I was making. How do you get through to people like this who refuse to see that the citizens of our country are being manipulated by both political parties?

Some sheep are more content grazing with the flock rather than know they are due for the slaughter house.

I like that anology. It's just rough... I thought he would understand because he's against the liberal movement but it seems he's just on the other side of the scale but with Republicans. I tried to explain to him that he's a sheep being used to divide the masses without realizing it but he just can't acknowledge that without taking offense.

For most people 'waking up' in a gradual process, so I'd take it slowly.

If you're trying to wake people up on reddit, might as well avoid people who hate Trump, and love the DNC, and people who love Trump, and love the GOP. Look for people, who hate the DNC and GOP, regardless of how they feel about Trump

Cannabis guy seems like very strong conservative and said he doesn't care about the government spying on citizens cuz he is not doing anything wrong.... I tried explaining things that to him but he didn't get it...

I understand gov't oversight as well but not when it's invasive and lied about

Vintage is right, its a gradual process. If you hit someone with a million facts at once, or some too scary to even consider upfront it scares them. Its easier to call someone else crazy and continue on with your day then re evaluate the world you live in. Also, people don't go into a debate to have their minds changed. They are there to defend their own beliefs, not to open up to new ones. Humans are frustrating.

I usually Wonder why the elites do crazy stuff to the average person but it's conversations like this that make me understand that most of the general population isnt intelligent enough to comprehend what is going on and this is the source of their evil.

Why try and change the world and be good when you could be evil and play along making millions of money and no one will say a thing?

I wouldn't say they aren't intelligent enough. Its a willingness to accept a mass change in perception. And I try not to use the terms good and evil as such things don't really exist. Many people wouldn't see "elites" as the source of their "evil". They're the source of their problems. But the problem is, we are all integrated into the system, regardless of awareness of the situation. Most people dont have problems directly caused by ruling classes. Interestingly the ruling class doesnt cause problems for individuals, but for the planet as a whole, or to those distant enough away as to not bother the people being directly subjegated. After all, a happy populace is a compliant one.

Yeah the middle class is still content and until there is a huge war or economic crisis they will never change it

It's not necessarily that people aren't intelligent enough, it's that they weren't given the right information for understanding.

I don't think you ever get to any truth until you see that you too are evil. You could very easily be them. It's like me not trusting the governments mass surveillance, bc I see the desire in myself to use information for my personal gain.

Exactly. As well as the advantage of being a faceless entity like gov't, corporations, etc. People lose their sense of humanity.

What is one crazy thing the elites have done you know is true oh wise one?

One of my roommates has seen me browsing this sub. Occasionally I mention some of the tamer things I see with no interpretation- just "hey look this is trash". Today he announced the whole sub is trash. What can I say? Time to shut it down I guess, since all of it must be totally worthless if any of it seems out there. /s

There's a huge incentive by TPTB to make all conspiracy theorists seem crazy and to lump all conspiracies together. Flat earth was probably a psyop

I feel your pain, what seems obvious to you is like climbing Everest to others.

I always joke with people about how things are and gauge reactions.

If they recoil ,I just say pffft "Conspiracy theorists eh?".

don't bother with people around you.. it will end in tears. :D

the next battleground is on social media, - we are losing that war... but its about the only thing i can think of.

People just block me anytime I want to have an in depth discussion in a diplomatic style, it's pointless

A cup is only useful when it is empty.

You aren't here to save and put everybody is awake and alert mode. But when if/when they are ready, their cup will be empty.

I learned long ago not to try to wake people up.

There is a great Alan Watts quote that I think is pretty spot on in regards to this:

"I realize the less I preach the more likely I am to be heard."

And I think it's very true. People hate to be preached to. People hate to be "wrong", especially when it has to do with how they are living their lives.

Don't try to wake people up. Let them wake up on their own. They will eventually start connecting the dots, it may just take them a very long time, or they will be content living their lives the way they have always lived them.

Dang I love that quote. Reminds me of "you can't help those who don't want to be helped". It's sad

You can take a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

i think in the bible it mentions how jesus knew the futility of words when it comes to waking others up (not the exact wording of course)

"Do not cast pearls before swine."

Lead by example; demonstrate the value of openmindedness, patience, and healthy scepticism. Let conversations flow naturally. Flooding an unprepared person with facts or theories will usually just make them turn a deaf ear.

“Kindly let me help you, or you’ll drown” said the monkey to the fish placing it safely in a tree.

Some people are too old to free from The Matrix

He just has been indoctrinated by the military.

'Just'

Don’t let it bother you if you spend to much energy trying to help 1 person you might’ve been able to help two in that same amount of time.

I never try for this exact reason. I did though. Another coworker told me I should run for a political office someday then dipped out.

Sadly you are doing it wrong. Gotta play hard to get. Tease and hint but don't go all the way. Accidentally leave a great article open on your tablet or a good book at their desk or house. Act like it's too hard for average people to understand. =)

Did they out right tell Neo? No they teased him probably over days if not weeks before the Trinity meet. He would have not reacted well if they threw it all down at the first hello.

Very smart. Thank you

Yea fuck being a politician. Honestly with the world being in the shape it is today the best anyone can do is take care of their family and try to meet as many likeminded people as they can and try to spread the word as best they can. But be careful who you try to wake up some people are there to make sure people stay asleep.

Lol right....care to explain "careful who you try to wake up some people are there to make sure people stay asleep"?

Q anon is prob the best way to wake some one up. Just tell take q intel leaks as your own seer prophecies. Once said person starts to believe you and see you as messiah, then you tell them the truth and call them a gullible idiot.

Then when there worldview crumbles and they sink into despair/nihilism, sweep in and help them.

There are people crazy as it sounds who don’t want people to see the world for what it is and sometimes talking about certain things say for instance in you place of work can cause you problems. In my younger days I tried to show anyone and everyone the truth and my career suffered for it I feel. Not trying to sound looney but yeah that shit happens all the time to folk.

I've learned that most people would rather die than seriously alter their worldview. Indeed, most people would rather kill their loved ones.

If they're not ready, not much you can do. Just be ready when they are.

Respectively and insistently observe hypocrisies in their sleepy ideas.

You have to give them a clue, something that gets them motivated to research for themselves and have some ownership of it. Like poopy says, people don't like to be preached to or be wrong. But if you give them that one thing that they are motivated to research and find out the truth on their own, then they can take ownership of it and hopefully continue to research other areas. One of the things that did it for me was flouride. If it affects our daily lives and that of our children, we become motivated to learn the truth. I continually plant ideas on FB. Post meme's or little tidbits of information that maybe someone will look into. That is the only way. You can't beat them over the head with it, they will just resist. And when you do get into a discussion with others, make sure and know your subject matter thoroughly, and do your best to sound calm, sane and credible. Don't rant like some crazy lunatic. Give them all the evidence, but if they argue and resist, you gotta let it go. You can lead a horse to water.......
