https://www.someecards.com/news/news/this-guy-mysterious-voicemail-terrifying-military-codes
So some guy gets a weird voicemail, turns out it's military code that translates to:
"Danger SOS it is dire for you to evacuate be cautious they are not human SOS danger SOS"
It also gave coordinates near Indonesia, close to where the Malaysian Airlines flight disappeared.
Wtf?

I was just reading about this. But it was on a Facebook post. Is there any credibility to this or is it just one dude who faked a voicemail?

Me too, and this all went on four days ago?

Ya i couldn't find much more than what's in the article, but the whole thing is really interesting to me.
The most likely explanation is that it's just some elaborate hoax; but i still thought it might be fun to discuss and speculate on.
1 Hermeticism 2018-03-19
Why do people keep posting about this without looking? There are so many copies of this.
It's the reason people are focusing on this is to push away from other stories.
I mean users went from 5000+ to 7000+ just in these last few hours.
And this story keeps popping up.
1 tennessee_jedi 2018-03-19
Hm i hadn't seen it before tonight. What do you think focusing on this is pushing people away from?
I only posted it because I found it interesting, and wanted to see if anyone had any other thoughts or theories on what it might be or mean. My first thought was obviously elaborate hoax; but I still found it interesting enough to want to discuss.
1 Hermeticism 2018-03-19
Im wondering if this story is being pushed because something real is happening that is not getting attention.
So many topics and possibly bot pushed topics recently.
1 tennessee_jedi 2018-03-19
Also...when you say users went from 5-7k, are you saying users of this sub? As in 2,000 more ppl have subscribed in the last few hours, in correlation with the repeated posting of this story?
Maybe that's the real conspiracy...like I said, I just found it interesting, and thought this was the obvious place post it. But I doubt that 2000 other people had that exact thought process. So maybe this story is some sort of red herring to distract the people interested in this type of stuff from something else?

Thanks for this original and insightful discussion /s

Thanks for your constructive contribution to the discussion!
As I said above I just came across this tonight, and thought it'd be interesting to discuss.
1 EvilSporkOfDeath 2018-03-19
So you thought it best to create a new thread without any new information or ideas instead of using one of the many threads already here?
1 tennessee_jedi 2018-03-19
Tbch I didn't check, so that's on me. But yea I might I don't see what harm another thread does. Really all you had to do was say "hey bro, it's been discussed, check out this [link] thread."
And yea all I had to do was search, but im my phone and the search feature sucks, so I figured if it was old news (which it wasn't to me) someone might point me in the right direction.
1 tennessee_jedi 2018-03-19
...& no need to downvote, I'm trying to have a civil discussion here. I admitted not searching first was my mistake, and if there's a better thread for discussing this story I'll happily head on over there.
That said, I think we might have stumbled on to a conspiracy within this conspiracy. Given the multiple new users and threads about this story; could this story itself be some sort of distraction meant to divert attention away from something else?
I mean this story's got everything: spies, secret military codes, aliens (or non-human entities) mysterious origins and geographic coordinates...even that damn disappearing plane. It's beginning to strike me as a little TOO juicy. And as Hermeticism mentioned maybe this story's purpose is to distract from something else...we have to go deeper!

Personally when I hear stuff like this I just say “huh, maybe today’s the day.”
Where da aliens at bruh
1 tennessee_jedi 2018-03-19
Ha same pretty much. Was discussing this with my lady friend and she's convinced that they're here among us already. Idk about all that, but it it's anything like the less horrific alien encounter movies (ie. The alien series, predator, starship troopers, body searchers, the thing, etc. etc.) I think it'd be pretty cool, and hope I live to see first contact.
Though what a race capable of FTL or inter-dimensional travel would want to do with us (aside from steal our resources and/or precious bodily fluids) is beyond me.

I could go on for days about this but look at it this way: If Jesus and Hitler can exist on the same plane of existence, think about how diverse this plane of existence must be.
There are no doubt “good” ET and “bad” ET and they are no doubt bound by some law or barrier (at the moment) from interacting with us.
1 HighlyBelievable 2018-03-19
You think Jesus was a person who lived on earth and was the son of god?
1 BWet00 2018-03-19
They're already here and have been for some time. Bill Cooper's speech in Sedona on aliens is worth checking out.

1 Drake02 2018-03-19
I don't know where to start, they're, they're gonna, they'll triangulate on this position really soon. OK, um, um, OK, what we're thinking of as aliens, Art, they're extra-dimensional beings, that, an earlier precursor of the space program they made contact with. They are not what they claim to be. They've infiltrated a lot of aspects of, of, of the military establishment, particularly the Area 51. The disasters that are coming, they, the military... I'm sorry, the government knows about them. And there's a lot of safe areas in this world that they could begin moving the population to now, Art.

It’s a hoax
1 NOcomedy 2018-03-19
or somebody made the guy go back on the radio show and deny it all, while his family was taken hostage. Sometimes you need to expand your thinking. Don't close a subject with 100% certainty!
1 Afrokiller-symbiote 2018-03-19
Ferrrr sherrrr
1 SetHead 2018-03-19
Somebody tried to claim that it was because of solar Flair's and emp in the atmosphere they got sound sent to their phone from the black box on the missing plane if you know anything about solar Flair's and emp they fry electronics, so no not really any credibility.
1 strk1204 2018-03-19
Also a black box a) Doesn't send data like that over the air, merely sending a beacon to help find it. b) Would not have recorded that unless it was explicitly read or spoken by the pilot or overheard from a radio.
1 SetHead 2018-03-19
My point exactly, so their retort was aliens -_-
1 strk1204 2018-03-19
Further to squash this point, how does an EMP reroute a phone call? Or for that matter translate a VHF or UHF message into a phone call, changing protocols along the way. It's pretty safe to say the call was deliberate, maybe not to this individual. Telco's should have a record of calls including from Unknown numbers and it is possible to trace them with this information. I would advise the person who got the call to attempt to trace the call, through any means necessary.
1 Sainterr 2018-03-19
The voicemail was from an unknown number. Idk how it should be traceable.
1 strk1204 2018-03-19
Just look it up. An individual cannot trace them but a telco can.
1 Seaniau 2018-03-19
For anyone not in the loop, here's a FB post by someone who claims to be witnessing it unfold: https://www.facebook.com/trashedpunk/posts/354413644966115
Interesting statements about the original posters accounts going missing, also people re-posting getting Indonesian threat messages.
One of the OP's also had a guy taking photos of his house.
Half of the technical ideas such as the solar flares boosting the phone call, and the fact that a BlackBox would even make a phone call, particularly one with a non-generic message such as "They are not human" is too far-fetched.
Juicy idea for a conspiracy though.
1 tennessee_jedi 2018-03-19
Ya I'm even more on the hoax train now. When i read the theory I thought it was some secret military code, not just the NATO phonetic alphabet spelling out the message. 99.9% hoax, .1% some sort of training exercise that this dudes phone somehow picked up.
1 internprimas 2018-03-19
When's the new motion picture film come out or the new episode of Black Mirror?
1 patrick9911 2018-03-19
Almost 99% definite hoax. But I'll keep an open mind if any new info comes up
1 LottiMCG 2018-03-19
Same, but I'm leaning toward ridiculous. I think the numbers at the end aren't coordinates, but a phone number. +42 is the country code for the Czech Republic and if you're dialing within the country, you'd put a 0 at the front.
Also, I looked up the number and people have been getting dropped calls from this number since February. No weird voicemails though, so idk what to make of that.
And, I saw someone post something about an app you can use to do this to fool your friends.
Plus, this makes no sense. The military is going to use the phonetic alphabet (a child could decipher that code) to relay a message 1. This sensitive & 2. This long?!
Seems absurdly absurd to me.... but I could be wrong.

This sounds a lot like the mystery number channels that Ham Radio operators have been reporting for decades.
