Maybe I'm super human.

I have never had a flu shot. Not one. But guess what, I've never had the flu. Not once. Coincidence? I think not.

... the confirmation bias is strong with this one.

Wouldn’t be too surprising if vaccines work like most other modern medicine, which is to say you often didn’t need it in the first place but now that you’ve been taking it you need to continue.

That isn't how medicines or vaccination works.

Plenty of medications work like this.

/sigh.

And that's not how addictions work either.

Say your piece then. How does it all work?

Same here. Never understood the flu shot thing. Do people actually get the flu that often to where they think they need to be vaccinated against it?

My mom gets the flu shot every year. Didn't this year and boom, she got the flu. I stayed with her the entire course of the flu, didn't disinfect anything and yet no flu for me.

Thats funny, I never used to be in pain until I stopped taking vicodin, and I’ve had a lot less energy since discontinuing adderall!

Man your missing the point. Ive never taken a flu vaccine, but was esposed to it for a week. No flu for me. I think the vaccine s make you more susceptible to catching the flu.especially if you miss a vax.

Lol sorry I needed an /s there. I agree.

I had a flu shot once, years ago, I got the flu that year. Since then no flu shot , no flu. And my job tries to force workers to get it.

Coincidence? I think not.

My job had a nurse walking office to office, I said no thanks and had 3 people in my office with comments. :/

Never had a flu shot. A few years ago I caught the flu. It was fucking terrible. I did not start getting flu shots because of how rate it was for me to catch it.

The reason being is I am careful about hygene if remotely close to sick people.

When you have a flu shot you're injected with the flu virus, it's been comman knowledge for some time, strange way to do it.

That's not exactly true. There are two types of seasonal flu vaccines, the injection (with killed virus) and nasal spray vaccines (containing live but weakened virus).

So it is entirely true.. what was the point if this comment even... lmfao

You are unable to appreciate the difference - I can understand that.

There's an awful lot which you are not telling us, you know.

I've always turned down the shot. Got the flu. Felt bad for 3 days (endurable-not as bad as a hangover) and then it morphed into some horrendous congestion that sapped all my energy coughing and wheezing that lasted another week. Still not getting a flu shot. That stuff probably has Kryptonite in it.

Specifically talking about the flu shot.

The flu shot doesn't make much sense. Each year it's a new strain of flu. Then how can you make a vaccine against that particular strain? By the time you can create the vaccine the season is over.

The flu shot is in my un medical opinion a scam.

Though I don't think that means every vaccine is a scam. The subject is messy.

Ive had it once, when I was a kid, but Ive not had it every year, so idk

Vaccines are disgenic and are actually reversing the process of natural selection in humans. This creates a weaker overall animal when the weak specimines are able to freely breed and spread their broken genes.

Eugenics needs to come back in vogue.

I’ve never had a flu shot but have gotten the flu and had almost wished I had gotten the shot...cause god dam it was horrible
