Must admit I'm not familiar with that one. I've heard the theory about the driver turning and delivering the kill shot…but I don't put much stock in that.
If one were to ask me I would tend towards a shooter in the storm drain to the right of the limo. It would match the apparent trajectory of the kill shot.
I’ve heard of that theory but the one I’m talking about is not the one with the limousine driver shooting Kennedy. There’s a documentary about the theory. It was on Netflix, not sure if still there.
But when the Secret Service car jolted to stay up with the Presidential Limousine, one of the Secret Service Agents took the M16 (or similar style of gun) off safety and once the car jolted, he accidentally pressed the trigger and shot the President.
So the theory contends that the fatal shot came from behind the president's limousine? I find that hard to square with the video footage of the head shot and corresponding movement of Kennedy.
Howard Donahue got the location of the entry wound wrong. The real entry wound in the back of the head was lower near the base of head, next to the external occipital protuberance. An AR-15 shot from a Secret Service agent cannot account for the head wounds as they appear in the autopsy films considering how low in the back of the head this wound was.
No, any round like that would deposit fragments in the lower part of the head and severely damage the cerebellum. The official X-rays and films show neither. I doubt that one one round can replicate Kennedy's head wounds as seen on the official x-rays and films. As Dr. Burkley always suspected, I think there was more than one shot to the head.
Killing Kennedy by Bill O’Reilly’s team of ghost writers is actually a great read, it’s not so much about the assassination but jfk as a whole, while I’m not a fan of O’Reilly at all, his “killing whoever” books are usually great
Another good one! Originally I read the books because my dad reads them and I thought it would give us something to talk about (we don’t see eye to eye on a lot of things) and I ended up loving the series, the only one I haven’t read is Killing Christ
Lol man it’s been a while, I’ll start off by saying if you want a conspiracy type book than you may not like it because it sticks to advertised story....
But if I recall correctly it only covers the time period of his presidency and looks at how jfk, Jackie, and Oswald spent their last couple years... it talks about his rampant adultery, Jackie’s time as First Lady, and Oswald’s time in Russia and his attempt to go to Cuba, his failed assassination attempt of Gen. Walker and his time in Houston all the way up to the day he allegedly took the shot....
I’ll pull the book off the shelf when I get home and see if I missed any major points but I thinks that’s most of it....
Honestly I enjoyed all of them. But if I had to choose, it would be JFK by L. Fletcher Prouty. That book really opened my eyes to what was really happening in Vietnam and how Kennedy death was a result from it.
Crossfire was good but took me super long to read (over 500 pages). That book covered every aspect of the JFK assassination. Gained a lot of insight on different theories.
On the Trail of the Assassins was about Jim Garrison’s account of his investigation on the JFK assassination.
Learned a lot about Lee Harvey Oswald and his New Orleans connections.
They Killed Our President by Jesse Ventura was good. Covered most of the assassination and theories.
Side note: Garrison and Prouty books were both inspired by Oliver Stone’s movie JFK
If we're going down the periphery of books that aren't specifically about the JFK assassination but have key segments about it, the Alan Dulles biography "The Devil's Chessboard," is phenomenal.
Thanks for the tip. The Bush connection to the JFK Story is essential to the story and revealed many details related to before and after the assassination that had not yet been given much attention.
"Family of Secrets" is excellent. Russ Baker is a genuine journalist, even if I think he's succumbed a bit to TDS and leans a little too hard to the left to remain unbiased.
A new perspective on the kennedy assassination by Pat Speer. I found this book while unsatisfied with the theories about photographic evidence being faked. This book shows that multiple shooters is provable without saying that photos have been faked.

Thank you! :)

You're very welcome. It's a great book. Incredibly well researched and even have a good selection/collection of photos.

Nice. What do you think about the Smoking Gun theory?
1 swansong19 2018-04-04
Are you referring to the puff of smoke apparently captured at the grassy knoll at the time of the shooting?
1 WarrenBuffett_ 2018-04-04
No.
The Smoking Gun theory is when allegedly one of the Secret Service Agents Shot JFK, the final blow.

It does seem confusing but watching the documentary should clear that up.

How so then? Because the Secret Service Agents and President Kennedy were basically level, and slighting angled downward due to the road.

I second this.

Now that it's been brought up I think I want to dig it out of the closet and read it again.

Don't waste your time with any of the O'Reily books and especially not the Lincoln lie.
Dave McGowan's work on the Lincoln Assassination is the real deal.

I'm trying to hold my tongue about people on r/conspiracy thinking Bill O'Reilly's gonna tell them shit.

Holy shit I love Moondoggie. Didn’t even realize he had one on Lincoln, thanks! Reading this tonight

Interesting. I have that book but haven’t read it. Can you please give me more context about how that series is?

Backstory history isn’t so bad. Just wanting more information about the Assassination.
1 BeyondWikipedia 2018-04-04
Don't bother with a clown like O'Riley. He says Oswald did it when that can be disproven with the forensic evidence.
1 WarrenBuffett_ 2018-04-04
Oof.
1 BeyondWikipedia 2018-04-04
O'Riley is not a historian and he even advocates the single-assassin theory.

JFK: The CIA, Vietnam, and the Plot to Assassinate John F. Kennedy by L. Fletcher Prouty
Crossfire:The Plot that Killed Kennedy by Jim Marrs
On the Trail of the Assassins by Jim Garrison
They Killed Our President by Jesse Ventura

Thank you for the list! Which one do you recommend is the best?

I won't say the ONLY book you need to read on the JFK assassination is "JFK and the Unspeakable," but if you were to only read one, that'd be it.
1 WarrenBuffett_ 2018-04-04
Thinking about reading 2-3. I’ll look into it. Thank you Ian! :)
