Anyone else getting sinus infections randomly?

1  2018-06-19 by forthegiggles1

Long story short. I've never had alergies, and I've never had a sinus infection.

Within the past 2 weeks my best friend, my mom's best friend, and both of my other close friends parents ended up with sinus infections out of the blue. These are just the people I hang out with/see the most. First thought was allergies or whatever but once I heard that NONE of them have ever had a sinus infection before it hit me as somewhat odd.

My friends parents live halfway across the country which I find REALLY weird. My friend was saying her mom has NEVER had one before and felt like death for like a week or so, basically same exact symptoms.

It didn't strike me to post this until I just saw this video (I don't watch this stuff I just ended up here after googling xxx's death out of boredom).

The video wasn't too odd until he mentioned he had a sinus infection. I checked the date which was like a week or two ago. Was just curious if anyone else has had this same thought.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

I find it odd that you know so many people who have NEVER had a sinus infection!

Haha yea idk maybe i've just been blind to it since I've never had one. The only thing that was odd to me was that none of these people have ever had one and then we all get hit at the same time.

Damn, another XXX thread?

Haha to be fair I didn't know who he was until about an hour ago.

alright. In all fairness this thread just mentioned him.

Like from the movie? Xxx vin diesel?

Yes. I work with mail world wide and I'm suffering as of late. It comes and goes but this time it's different. Something is going on and there is a new strain coming out of Asia. Hopefully I'm not patient zero and the men in black come for me.

Interesting. What i'm curious about is how is it hitting all of us so fast across the country at the same time? I wouldn't have even posted this had I not found out tonight that the 3 other people got it at exactly the same time like 1000 miles apart from each other.

People seriously glorify globalism while deny the negative effects of it. You sneeze on a package? That package get sent off across the world. Infects. A Pandemic. Pros and cons.

Interesting actually. It's really just the pattern of it that gets me. I mean it could very well just be spread by the mail, travelers, etc. This whole thing just seemed odd to me and tonight was the icing on the cake since none of us have ever had one.

Biological warfare.

Well that was first thought but I didn't want to come in here saying "fuck the govt" and get bashed down. I'm glad you find it a bit off as well.

See this illustration of the US jet stream forcast for June 19, 2018. These pathogens can be airborn and dispersed via prevailing winds.

Wait which illustration?

Sorry. The one I forgot to link to. Here. The map is an example of prevailing winds for Friday, June 22, 2018,and if you know which way the winds are blowing, it's conceivable you can use them to spread disease.

2026 mass death

this sub sometimes

I mean sinus infections aren't really related to allergies. Similar symptoms and allergies can definitely facilitate one, but not the same animal. What better time to release a virus than say right when everyone is getting allergies right? Most people wouldn't even notice unless it got out of hand. Idk the timing of everything has just seemed a bit odd to me.

I get sinus infections every year when the weather changes from cold to warm or vice versa. There are a bunch of random factors that can contribute to an infection. If you're in North America, there's a sizable heat wave going on, which leads to a lot of pollutants lingering in the air, particularly with heavy humidity. Lots of pollen-producing vegetation begin their cycles around this time as well. Could also just be that someone's had one before and never got it diagnosed as such. Most likely, it's just a weird coincidence. It reminds me of the Great Seattle Windshield Epidemic.

Could honestly just very well be this. My guess is coincidence but the timing is so odd I had to come on here and see what people thought. Even if something was going on we'd never know.

And with the heat comes drying of the sinus cavities which leads to cracks and shit in the skin.

Yep, mine started mid-may though and is still there. I've never had sinusitis in my life before now.

Same. If you don't mind me asking what area of the country are you from?

It's on all paris climate accord countries, not just the US. Btw if you thought Trump pulled out of that one, just check your skies.

Protip he hasn't

Try Elderberry extract, it helps fight these infections. Also nasal rinses with salt and sodium bicarbonate help to flush out irritating allergens.

And buteyko breathing method. I've never even had a runny nose since starting. Only downside is that I get lots of hard boogers.

Anyone getting planned sinus infections?

Seriously, no one said it so far? It's massive-scale air polution as a byproduct of geoengineering trails.

Try lightly spraying your nose with a steroid spray (don't overuse it cause it causes extreme dryness) and then washing it off with isotonic solution (iv fluid or just use a seawater spray). If you get dry after washing your nose try applying some coconut oil or petrol jelly with an earbud on the inside of your nostrils

Or its just massive air pollution from pretty much every section of society

No reason to use a steroid spray. Those steroid sprays are habit forming. Just use a saline spray its all you need it will lubricate the sinus cavity and break up thick boogers.

Saline spray helps a lot but steroids will help your allergic reactions subside over time. Other than the immediate relief that is. Agreed on them being habbit forming and that's why I posted above that they should be used in moderation.

Seasonal allergies can oftentimes lead to sinus infections. This is one of the most common times for people to experience season allergies.

I'd also like to add, in the North East (specifically in our state/area of Connecticut), we had a late Spring (extremely long Winter) which led to every flower and things popping out at once. Half the crew I work with outdoors had horrific allergies (eyes just non stop tearing etc).

It's because the skies are being sprayed with coal fly ash.

It really is odd. Apparently in this sub it seems like everyone else really is getting these weird sinus infections right now. I haven't really looked into coal fly ash but something like that seems 100% plausible.

I don't know about this xxx thing, but I swear half the people I know have "severe allergies" or a sinus infection recently, regardless of geographic region. I myself am currently fighting a startlingly virulent sinus infection.

I find it to be the WEIRDEST thing atm. Just doesn't make sense how my friends in the mid west, south and myself in the Northeast are all getting hit with this at the same exact time. If it were a month apart I would say oh maybe there's just something going around. But it was all within like a week or two of one another. Maybe we were sprayed with something over the winter but we weren't effected by the until the warmth brought everything to fruition? Idk seems weird.

It's not just America. I know people in Europe being hit as well.

This shit is weird man.

I been having severe allergies recently.

Vitamin C helps if you develop infections, but nasal hyiegene is very important so that you don't get them in the first place

C (in large doses, think 2000-8000 mg) plus cold medicine is really the best option. Antibiotics are 50/50, since an infection could be viral or bacterial, and by the time you get lab results it usually has healed naturally. Plus antibiotics probably do more harm than good anyway.

Yup, only take antibiotics if prescribed. VitC staysin the body for like 5 hours or so, so it's best to take 500 mg in the morning and then again in the evening.

I find that collagen generally helps considerably more than vitamin C, but even collagen doesn't seem to be curing this infection, hence why it's startling. I may actually have to visit the doctor over this, which is a rare thing indeed. I'll give it a few more days, though.

Yes it is proba my allergens. Just because someone does sneeze or shit like that doednt mean theres not allergens there. It doesnt matter how not allergic you are if you get a piece of pollen in your sinuses and it doesnt get out it will lead to an infection. Especially compined with dryer cavities that crack

Just finished battling my first sinus infection ever. Came out of nowhere. Which is very strange for me as I very rarely suffer with any illness, flu or cold. If I do it only lasts a few hours before I'm fighting fit.

Fucking same. All last week I was really sick with allergies and only a few days ago started to feel better, but it lingering like a bitch

My ongoing theory is this is just one of many side affects we're experiencing as a direct result of pesticides manufactured by Monsanto.

Allergies, ADD, Autism...think about it...do you remember every seeing anyone with a sinus infection in the 70s? I'm sure it happened but to nearly everyone?

Think about how many birds, insects and other wildlife you grew up with. Look outside. Isn't it quiet? Do you still see bees, june bugs, fireflies, or butterflies?

I've never had bad allergies, but for the past month I've been waking up with a stuffed nose it's really strange.

it’s the rockefellers

If you smoke and you're getting sinus infections, quit smoking.

Watching that video gave me a sinus infection in addition to cancer.

def a big piece to the puzzle IMO

That's actually extremely interesting. To think we know so little is pretty fascinating.

Waitttt. Who posted the image on their phone?

It's a picture of xs Instagram story that got deleted

Wait what the actual fuck? There is no way this is all a coincidence is there? I didn't even realize this shit until you posted that.

Got my first sinus infection one week ago

Just got one yesterday. Feeling like hell right now
