The Denver International Airport conspiracy theories

8  2018-08-02 by Zaptagious

I think this one is really interesting. It's infamous for its (now removed, some of them at least) creepy looking murals seemingly referring to future military oppression and a one-world government, gargoyles, a statue of Anubis, a 32 foot tall statue of a giant horse with fiery glowing eyes (which killed its sculptor when it fell on him), it's kinda shaped like a swastika, ties to the Freemasons and Templars. The list goes on.

I mean, who would feel safe at an airport while being greeted by this?

The fact that it exists in the first place boggles the mind of a lot of people since there is a perfectly capable one closer to downtown. Also it's twice the size of Manhattan and went $2 billion over budget.

One would think that if there would be something going on there they wouldn't be so on the nose with the imagery, that they'd be more inconspicuous about it, unless it's what people say about Area 51, that the conspiracy theories about it was put in the ether by the "government" itself to divert attention from somewhere else.

One of the more crazy stories I heard about it was someone taking the elevator to a level below ground only to find rows of urinals which were way too big for a normal human, he heard a sound, freaked out and hastily returned to the surface area. Lol, yeah...

So what are your opinions on this crazy place?

Was there recently, really think the “creepy” factor of the murals and the horse (the bronco) are exaggerated here. When you sit there any deeply analyze the murals some of the stuff is weird but yeah idk I never felt that put off by everything.

Wtf have you even seen them?? Why on earth would anyone put up murals that disturbing in an airport?? Of all the things they chose that....

Don't know what the horse has to do with anything besides football... The murals pretty clearly show the need for a New World Order.

Everyone here always says how weird and disturbing the horse is. It was pretty mild and out of place in person. And like I said the murals are definitely weird, but people here act like there is just this horribly creepy vibe surrounding the whole place that culminates with the murals. Idk I thought the airport was pretty cool and huge and never felt this creepy vibe from anything there. Then randomly there are the murals and it’s like well they’re weird, whatever. Then you stop looking at them and it’s just normal airport again. Honestly years ago I went through a phase of smoking weed all day every day and believing every conspiracy I could read and get a YouTube video on, and one of the ones I was like wtf about was the DIA. Then I get out of that phase and am at the airport and I need to remind myself it’s the place I’m supposed to feel creeped out and weird about, but really I just thought the place was pretty amazing.

isn't that horse for the Denver Broncos?

I always knew Peyton Manning was a tall white. That forehead isn't natural, dead give away.

It was recently renovated to reflect such.

Also the obvious pyramid shape and the fact they weren't allowed to build hotels within a certain mile radius so maybe there's tunnels under? Idk I don't know anything about building codes tho. There's also a placard outside that says it was donated by the new world order foundation. Seems pretty fuckin blatant lol. My guess is it's some sort of doomsday bunker or something. I took way too much edibles to go on a flight to Europe flying out of there and it was one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life haha.

Damn, I can imagine. It's like walking straight into the crazyass animated portions of Pink Floyds The Wall

It was terrible. The whole flight too and I had the middle seat next to an obese guy who kept falling asleep on my shoulder. No tv and no book to read either hahah

there is an extensive network of tunnels built for transportation and baggage handling. only a fraction of the airport has been built, theres a lot of unused runways and structures covered with dirt...probably what the weird mounds are.

not really a conspiracy theory.

the weird mounds are most likely topsoil stockpiles left from construction. we do a lot of the revegetation @ DIA, & that's what most of them are to my knowledge.

There is literally a hotel attached to the main terminal.

Oh haha I saw that on the map but there's no standalone hotels within ten miles

To be fair there's not much of anything other than parking within about 20 miles. It's in the middle of nowhere.

Isnt that kind of odd tho? Ive been there and its like an hour out of town with traffic. The airport by my house has hotels like riiiight on the outskirts maybe less than a mile from the freeway exit to go to the airport.

I've been there several times. The creepy factor is definitely high.

The murals...I just don't get. When I walk into in airport, I want it to be warm and friendly. These things are just the opposite of that. It's downright spooky.

There’s a military base underground

There are several. Most are in the ground or mountains to protect from them from a nuclear attack and to keep lines of communication open.

This has always been one of my favorite conspiracy theories.

I remember hearing an account from one of the contractors that was hired when it was being built. He said they installed a section of the facility deep underground and had to run a shit ton of cable. They finished one single level and were replaced with another contractor. He claimed they did this for the entire project to compartmentalize the knowledge of the whole layout.

I've always thought there is some sort of underground facility there. Lots of esoteric symbolism there.

Yea it kinda goes hand in hand with the whole theory that all major military bases in the U.S. is interconnected via a huge maglev train tunnel network. Maybe they needed a base near Denver for one reason or other but it being so close to the city they needed a front, hence the airport.

The idea of interconnected tunnel network is so badass. I actually don't doubt it for a second. So much black budget money goes down the memory hole every year, after all these years there's most definitely more than meets the eye. I've always felt Utah is a hot spot for that type of thing.

I've always suspected that when Eisenhower built the interstate system, it was used as cover to develop an underground network to transport military equipment. The full name of the interstate system is: "Dwight D. Eisenhower National System of Interstate and Defense Highways"

As far as the underground network at the denver airport goes- Denver airport is where the planes go when continuity of government happens in the case a mass casualty event. I suspect that there are tunnels leading to the cheyenne mountain complex, which is effectively an underground city by colorado springs, next to norad and northcomm.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheyenne_Mountain_Complex

wow, interesting! Thanks for the info.

it wasn't a cover .. the interstates were specifically built to move heavy weaponry like tanks on flatbeds n stuff. we wouldn't have built them (yet) if not for the war ..

now if you're suggesting they built a second underground highway system at the same time as the regular one, and used contraction of the regular one as a front, then yes I could possibly see that.. barring any technological restraints of the time.

Lol no they are not.

I mean DIA is a hub, so i think the airport was necessary to keep up with the growth of the front range. As for the potential for a DUMB, i wouldn't discount it at all.

I live in Denver and was just a baby when we were using Stapleton. DIA is HUGE. I have been fascinated by the conspiracy theories, but a lot of them are incorrect or can be explained away.

1) Those miles of cables? There is a metric shit ton of luggage moving equipment below ground. They have to be powered somehow.

2) I read some theory about DIA having barbed-wire fencing facing towards the running, as to keep people INSIDE the tarmac. Well, that's completely false, it's facing towards the outside as I've verified close to 20 times now.

3) The swastika runway design. This is the dumbest of them all. The only people who have this argument are people who don't understand how aviation works. Our winds out here are SQUIRELLY!! They blow mostly from the west due to the "chinook winds" coming off the Rockies, but they tend to be all over the place. As to the aviation part of it, you always land/take off INTO the wind, meaning they had to design the airport to allow for the maximum amount of traffic to land/depart at all times. This theory is silly.

4) The artwork? Well, shit, I have no good answer for our demon horse, or masked-swordsman, or gargoyle, or masonic stones. That part is all weird.

Ummm because they’re badass and Denver is pretty badass? Idk. Good debunk on the other stuff

loser

Gullible. Maybe if you spent less time on Jurassic park and more on the real world you wouldn’t be such a Phil Schneider dick sucking little bitch. Have a nice day.

In my mine it’s either a DUMB or a the main data centre for the intelligence agencies (high and cold help with cooling)

Even flying in, there are odd fields around the airport. They're 'for farming' but have trails on them. Like security has been driving around on them often. Look at these tracks next to the airport. https://earth.google.com/web/@39.86689238,-104.71261993,1605.46576284a,2822.21834641d,35y,-73.47152423h,45.01292855t,0r

Why is everyone so scared about these Murals. Don't mind saying this really, but it's a bit sensitive to be so worried. All the other anecdotes about secret underground whatevers and hiring new people to finish off certain parts of the project are interesting, but come on guys the murals are just some artist who went a bit overboard no?

Oversensitive or not, it's very inappropriate having pictures of nazi-looking soldiers with machineguns and scimitars standing over weeping children at an airport. Imagine going to the hospital for a surgery and there's a whole wall with a grinning Pennywise the Clown holding a severed arm and a half-eaten human corpse in the background.

Bit of an over exaggeration if you ask me dude. These murals at least give some sort of insight into what 'could be' if we let tptb take over. Not that they already haven't but it's the artists interpretation, do you have any information on the artist, or were there multiple? "Pennywise the Clown holding a severed arm and a half-eaten human corpse in the background" is just very fucked up and offers zero introspection.

Not really the place for such profound insights. All you should ever be worried about is if you'll catch your plane. Put that stuff in an art gallery. I don't know if there were multiple artists or not.

How about this, Pennywise is a metaphor for the Cabal and the dead guy is all of us, it's a message that we need to stand up for ourselves and not be taken control of, lest we all be consumed by the wicked.

You should see then how literally like right next to that mural is another one which is vibrant, full of color, and portrays hundreds of people and children happily smiling and a rainbow as they have overtaken the menacing looking soldier

Depending on the chronology of the paintings it could tell another story altogether...

I mean it either demonstrates the world coming together and using peace to crush oppression, or a peaceful world that has already crushed oppression being destroyed by a terrible apparently zombie nazi man.

You have a point, but it just gives me the wrong vibes regardless. Fucking nazis man.

I met the painter when I was at DIA. I explained the story below. His explanation was pretty much what a few commenter in this thread have theorized. I have a photo of me, him and his daughter in front of the murals.

I worked on DIA off and on for a few years.

It is a dual use facility. It can be converted to a military air base in about 2 hours. Should the need arise.

Traaansformeeers, more than meets the eye...

That's pretty interesting though, got any more information on that?

Not really. I can say with certainty that the trains run much father than just the airport. There are two runways that are buried that could be made usable fast. If you know where to look you can see the air ducts.

I heard a story of a lung illness. It came on after a natural underground cavern was breached. Allegedly there was a mold in there that got some sick and maybe even a death. I trusted the guy who told me this but I have nothing concrete on it other than an old story.

How do you 'unbury' a runway real quick like? Are they under a thin layer of soil?

Yes. It only has 5-6 inches of dirt over it.

That makes sense.. being in the mountains it is also pretty defensive as well.

It's not in the mountains at all. It is located nearly 40 miles east of the mountains on the high plains completely exposed and without mountain defenses. That being said it is located within close proximity of an Air Force Base and a "deactivated" nuclear silo site.

Denver is the backup capitol. We also build and store nuclear weapons, have the air force academy, have a federal mint, the official weights and measurements of the USA are kept underground near Denver,Buckley Air Force bases is nearby and has expanded in recent years.

If shit goes down nukes wont kill me. Starvation and disease will.

This is probably true and the most correct response.

I am just a random guy online but it is true.

I firmly believe there's something under it, I'm just not prepared to say what it is. Or that it's anything overly sinister.

What?!

My only question if this conspiracy has any truth to it is why would they choose Denver, why would they choose an airport that is EXTREMELY busy with civilians literally all hours of the day, and why would they adorn the building with all these clues...

It's like suggesting they are trying to hide in plain sight but what are you saying they are even doing when they are in hiding that is so bad?

It's easy to move people you don't want to be seen when there are already lots of people moving through an airport. Picking out someone important would be like finding a needle in a haystack.

You know what is even easier to avoid being seen? Having a place where there isn't a shitload of people, in fact there could be no people at all and a private location!

Correct! But wouldn't it be a little weird to be running constant flights between a public airport and a top secret private air strip? Wouldn't that stand out just a bit?

it is not that crazy the pace was built by a liberal committee so "to be fair and inclusive" they had to fill it with every offbeat anti american, anti religious (especially judeo christian ) left wing starving artist that need a few hundred grand to continue their so called "art " carrier

TheGroxt1 on youtube does a fantastic breakdown on this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LLST9muxYA

Additionally, the airport was almost entirely privately funded if I'm not mistaken.

By the New World Airport commission?

Mostly funded by government bonds, so somewhat correct. A lot of people bought DIA-fund bonds.

Denver is only like an hour or so from Colorado springs which is the location of NORAd and many military installations. Isn't this airport formerly known as Dulles airport? Named after Allen Dulles who was a major factor in operation paperclip, the formstion of CIA, and possibly the ringleader of the JFK assassination.

Dulles is Washington, D.C.

"Possibly", lol

Lol are you just saying different terms hoping no one notices that they don’t go together? The entirety of your post is just wrong

To be honest, the murals tell a moral story rather then present omens of the occult. The one shown here depicts rampant war destroying society, while the people weep as the innocent die. While another one show the destruction of the natural world around us and depicts the people observing once existing animals in display cases. The final one shows an image of unity and peace destroying the specter of war (nazi soldier) that can only be ushered by the future people of the world (children).

It's the New World Order... Led by the Global Citizens the 2030 Agenda says to create.

Isnt there supposed to be an alien base under it? There is TOO TOO MUCH creepiness around that place to NOT BE A CONSPIRACY (S!) involved in there somewhere!!! That mural is not the last thing I would want to see before boarding a plane!! Can you imagine death doom destruction and creepy ritualistic nazi type shite...OH YEAH HAVE A NICE FLIGHT!! Nothanks!!

I was just there really recently visiting some friends. My buddies from college that gave me (light hearted) shit about conspiracy theories are convinced something is going on at the Airport/mountains around Denver.

I'm interesting the freemason connection(s). Anybody have a link or info?

There's a Masonic plaque right at the security checkpoint that refers to a "New World Airport Commission" that doesn't seem to exist beyond this airport. It also has a message written in braille, but it's not a secret code, just a copy of the dedication. There's also a time capsule under the dedication stone that is supposed to come out in 2094. A prominent Freemason also contracted all of the other artwork for the airport, the big horse, the murals, gargoyles, etc. The Anubis statue does not appear to have any Masonic connection though, it travels all over the place with the King Tut exhibit.

Seems pretty mundane to me. I'm not a Freemason, so maybe there are some big secrets that aren't shared with the public, but the stuff out in the open has a simple explanation.

Damn, my buddy is a freemason and I like to throw stuff at him every now and then to see what he has to say about it.

I think it's pretty interesting. I don't buy that there's much to it other than the doodads though, why advertise suspicion?

I read somewhere that the Queen of England owns thousands of acres all around the airport

Isn't the Queen supposedly a descendant of Vlad the Impaler? You know what he did with his acres.

I’ve heard that too but could she own US land?

As far as I know, anyone can buy land that’s for sale.

I mean the runways are pretty much laid out in the shape of a swastika...

I think geographically, it’s the ideal place for a massive underground panic room for the elite. High elevation, impervious to flooding, in a dry plain so no risk of wildfires, high visibility in all directions so easy to defend

Yeah this exactly what I've been thinking for a few months, really ideal location

I just played tourist there a week ago. As we were takin pictures next to those badass murals, we kept running into other conspiratards. I swear, if you want to meet some randos in the flesh to talk about DIA, just go! Also, we had to look on their website to find just where the art was since DIA is so massive. It's in the Jeppeson terminal around the corner from baggage claims.

DIA is my home airport for work. I travel throughout the country, and as much as I love Denver, the airport gives me the creeps. I was walking through after a day trip from the day before, and I saw some visuals around security. Not sure what it was, but they gave me a brand of the creeps I had never felt before. I think it's completely possible that something less than good is happening there.

some visuals? what kind of "day trip" are you referring to?

Some good old fashioned LSD.

haha I was confused considering one usually does go to an airport to "take trips"

Haha touché! Didn't even catch myself on that one.

I was in Denver visiting my family (grew up there) and went to check out the murals. I was looking and a girl came up to me and I said "creepy, huh"? She said no, they're beautiful." Turns out it was the daughter of the painter, and she was there with her elderly father visiting his work one last time. I put my foot in my mouth because I didn't want to offend them. They told me the paintings are supposed to summarize world history and where we could end up if things don't change and then rebirth. I ended up taking a photo with the artist in front of the murals, still have them saved on my computer.

I had sleep paralysis and the STRANGEST dreams ever that night. I get paralysis often, especially when I'm traveling, but it shook me up. Not sure why any of this is relevant, but there's my story...

I saw the painter at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

You recognized this one specific painter? That’s extremely odd, is he like your idol or something

It's a copypasta

great story, i choose to believe

First thing that came to my mind is...

DIA = Denver International Airport DIA = Defense Intelligence Agency

I've heard that it's because DIA is intended to be a spaceport in the far future and the lower levels are going to be the future infrastructure.

Denver Airport, Cheyenne Mountain, and DUMBs. That part is simple. Weird art...sinister or silly.

What's bizarre to me is the amount of detail that went into building the airport: the floor of the main terminal features every known sample of granite from across the world. Why would this be appropriate? Imagine the cost of acquiring these materials when compared to the cost of using local granite. There's also tons of weird symbols like these etched into the floor, where several thousand travelers move about daily, without a moment's notice. Also the art selection is all very bizarre and seems rich with meaning far surpassing our contextual expectations as airplane passengers. Also, the place is so absurdly huge: 110 million cubic yards, or 8 Titanic's-worth of dirt was moved during construction, and DIA property covers 53 square miles, roughly the same amount of land used for large American cities like Boston and Dayton. Even still, massive renovation projects are currently underway, including a 3-year $780 million plan to revamp the main terminal and turn it into something called the "Great Hall," and runway reconstruction estimated at ~$50 million. There is always something happening there.

As far as I understand, anyone can buy the land that’s for sale.

I've always suspected that when Eisenhower built the interstate system, it was used as cover to develop an underground network to transport military equipment. The full name of the interstate system is: "Dwight D. Eisenhower National System of Interstate and Defense Highways"
