NASA fashion movement
1 2018-08-16 by Leetspin1654
College youth all of a sudden started rocking nasa attire. Hell, I’m 28 and now have a nasa shirt and hat. Theory- this was an intentional ploy (perhaps started with your typical young insta “models”) to improve the support and funding of nasa. Additional thoughts?

Shouldn't you be the one answering that question, rather than asking - Given you bought the fashion?

Well, you either made a decision, or the voices from the TV are telling you what to do. I assume the latter... and by the way, wtf is an "insta model"...?

28 and wearing "college" logo clothing still? Hmmmmm.

I hope you're right. Young people have been wearing NASA gear to feel cool for a long time; if there's more now than usual that's a good sign. Don't think its much larger of a conspiracy than the NASA marketing department, but there's plenty of money going into private spaceflight now so who knows.

I think it’s all a lie, and they’re the unidentified in ufos. Liars. Money money.

What used to be considered nerdy is now cool, there’s an influx of “geek culture” allot of millennials are trying to prove how “unique and quirky” they are by flaunting their geekdom just like every one else. I think wearing a NASA shirt falls under the quirky catagory in their eyes.

Think about how Thrasher is misused..

Nah, all those pop culture t-shirts became popular around the same time and the big retailers had loads of variety. I wouldn’t mind a Thundercats emblem shirt myself.

space force programming. starship troopers wannabees? militarization of space agenda? the nasa is masonic.

I would like to know more.

with the recent introduction of the space force, the federal government will use billions of taxpayers money, our money, to develop and build space based weapons. and then, they will use them on us and unruly nations .
if we are lucky, they will just embezzle the money and give us fearsome computer generated videos, just to keep us subdued.
there are treaties that would make this impossible ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outer_Space_Treaty ), but by popularizing everything nasa and space related, this could gain popular support so the us can withdraw from the treaty.
hollywood produced movies, like the starship troopers made the whole idea cool and the fashion reinforces this emotion. it smells like a vile bit of social engineering.

I was making a Starship Troopers reference but thanks for the run down anyway lol

What's the conspiracy?

I hope so, NASA needs more money. It's funny you say that because I work at Vans and they're releasing a NASA footwear and clothing set soon.

Yeah their harnesses are starting to wear out and they could use some new green screens.

Need more helium for their fake rocketry and fake satellites.

Because a budget of 50 million dollars per day isn't enough.

Conspiracy is false. This is Geek chic, that is all
The maker of the clothes uses the logo to sell more clothes, and NASA charges no fee
https://www.nasa.gov/audience/formedia/features/Merchandising_Guidelines.html
Unless you can prove that NASA itself is selling the logo gear
1 Geralt23 2018-08-16
It doesn't matter whether NASA gets money for it or not. They get free advertising and legitimacy through these logos in public. People will get more trust in them because seeing their logo on people's clothing helps legitimizing their fraudulent organization.
1 Tbish34 2018-08-16
I also have been seeing many people with NASA clothing. The government agency's seems to love to tell us what's cool or what they want pushed so we can do the advertising for them.
1 Geralt23 2018-08-16
It's to give legitimacy to this fraudulent organization. Make it fashionable and cool under the population. Instill trust. People trust and have faith in well designed and fashionable logos. Makes the leap to think critically about them a bit harder.
