What is /r/conspiracy's opinion of Alex Jones?

I listen to him on occasion and it seems he is more interested in pimping products than anything. Please discuss.

Alex defending himself against the zionist attack..
I don't have a dog in this because I rarely listen to him. To much diatribe, which imo smacks of propaganda. But both sides should be heard regardless.

Anyone who backs Ron Paul can't be all that bad. Out of curiosity I checked his stance on the flotilla. Very astute observations and a heavy slam about AIPAC trying to take our guns at the end. Check the link, stormfront of all places. http://www.stormfront.org/forum/t715609/
Now does he limit his info? I think he does, but I also think Dylan Ratigan and the Judge limit themselves. I suspect the reasoning is due to national security. For the truth about the Zionist influence "they" give us Gordon Duff. So while I agree with your points, it's not high on my nefarious list. Edit:all conspiracy opinion with no basis in fact{6}

I will. I always thought Jones was full of shit who is using his position to profit. Thanks for the information.
Do you have any recommendations for websites or people to listen to who provide the truth about the collapse/NWO, etc?

I think he does very good work

I have analyzed what Alex Jones has been saying for 9 years now. I am convinced that he is the real deal and not a fraud. Haters gonna hate.

Care to elaborate?
3 bulltwitbo 2011-01-27
Well he plays a key role considering the type of information he deals with on a continual basis. He understands his responsibility as a broadcaster and has a good sense for the dynamics in the industry which is probably why he has been so successful.

He's an intelligent man. This is evident in his comments -- he doesn't make the same stupid mistakes about science that most media talking heads make. However, he is there for one reason, to make Alex Jones rich and famous. This means he will not speak freely on certain issues, even though he pretends to be a voice for truth. It is selective truth, truth within politically correct boundaries. Now, the boundaries of Alex Jones are a little wider than those of, say Wolf Blitzer, but he is still operating within PC boundaries.

Summed up my opinion nicely.
4 [deleted] 2011-01-27
While you can certainly criticize Alex for some things, I really don't think greed is one of those things. Literally 99% of his content is available for free.
4 TheRealHortnon 2011-01-27
I see that stuff as a commercial, possibly even bait.
Take a look at prisonplanet.com:
Literally 80%+ of the landing page on my laptop is ads, 10% is the navigation banner, and 10% is original content.
http://imgur.com/BnWHD <---- Red highlights for external ads, green for self-promoting ads for profit-generating services
http://imgur.com/8b4fc <---- Ads removed
My resolution is only 1440x900, but that's still large according to Google
1 [deleted] 2011-01-27
Ok... Like I said, 99% of his content is free so the revenue to support that has to come from somewhere... Again, I'm not defending him as I don't particularly care for the dude one way or another. Point is yes, there are valid arguments to be made against Jones, but money or greed ain't one of 'em.

He has awaken and informed more than he has hidden and obstructed for me. But it's like every other source of information, you take the good with the bad and decide for yourself.
5 chiindustry 2011-01-27
His heart is in the right place, wish he was better at articulating his message. There is no one else I'm aware of digging into these issues with a radio show.

I think he is a good man and doing good for his citizens.
He is helping people wake up and take notice of things going on.
5 bittermanscolon 2011-01-27
upvote you as well. We need to show that he's not all out to distract us. He does wake people up to the obviousness of the situation. If he falls short beyond that, whatever....it is always up to the individual to continue the research anyway and not rely on one source.

I agree with you. Haters are gonna hate, and reddit is full of em. Here, have an upvote, I got you back to 0.

Care to elaborate or is meh your final answer?
1 anunnaki77 2011-01-27
final answer! sorry, always wanted to say that. i think he's a shit starter. i do like some of his research and i like most of his movies, but i'm not big on how sensationalistic prison planet is and some of his old youtube videos are....part of me thinks he's one of them now, and he's only alive because he puts out what the "elites" he's spying on let him...i mean he snuck into bohemian grove ( http://www.infowars.com/bg_story_template.html ) and nothing happened. granted that put that whole thing into the mainstream...but why didn't he end up like this? ( http://articles.sfgate.com/2002-01-24/news/17525248_1_bohemian-grove-women-s-groups-richard-mccaslin ) sidenote: also the inspiration for this http://new.music.yahoo.com/videos/LesClaypool/Phantom-Patriot--35906578

I think he is a plant, here to slap us awake just in time to get rounded up shot in the back of the head. If no one knows how evil shit is then why would they resist? no resistance= no reason to crack down. Otherwise Alex would have been killed a long time ago. He is alive because he is made.
1 [deleted] 2011-01-27
I think so too. If he is such a thorn in the side of the "elites" then why hasnt he been dealt with? It's interesting to think about given the topics on his show.
1 [deleted] 2011-01-27
precisesly. he is here to wake us up and get us out their to be mowed down...
1 [deleted] 2011-01-27
a (fake) revolution always seems to need a hero, and he would be perfect... gotta love this alien/hologram reality!!

Alex Jones is a conspiracy capitalist, a false prophet, controlled opposition. Although he may occasionally spread valuable information, it gets lost through all his red-faced, fear-mongering rhetoric. He loves to listen to his voice, and tote a bullhorn. A upper-middle class white capitalist, with zero race/class-consciousness whatsoever... he even BENEFITS as things are going down the drain.
2 melicusictus 2011-01-27
It's entertainment. A business. All of it is. Everything we do. You can't trust someone because they say they're telling you the truth. You have to look inside yourself and find real truth and real freedom. Remember, you decide not anyone else. What does it mean to you?
2 deebosbike 2011-01-27
sketchy motherfucker.
2 Vorric 2011-01-27
He's a right wing nut that profits off using fearmongering techniques to sell conspiracy theories.

Alex Jones is probably an agent provocateur imho...

Alex Jones is there to stir up the dumb violent folks and to push a gold standard.
His info is pretty spot on, his sources are legit(AP, Reuters, and such) but his own new articles on his page are terrible.
I Give him credit for the pushing fluoride into the mass media. His info on the topic was spot on.
If you are able to think for yourself and criticize what you hear AJ is great. If you get carried away with hysteria and believe every word from his mouth, you're going to end up looking stupid.
I Watch is for as Infotainment, the same way i watch Colbert or Stewart. Its a great place to find news the mass media wont cover, but there is an agenda.
0 billsang1 2011-01-27
Is that all you got Texmex? I'm sure you could of come up with a little more evidence than that.

He is of Jesuit roots. The Jesuits reside over the Zionists, the Zionists reside over everyone else. He is married to a Zionist. They could be called a "Jesuzionic couple". Two legs of the same monster (Jesuits & Zionists). Both controlling gargantuan amounts of wealth and religious dogma, marching humanity toward freedoom for their own 'elite' benefit. Alex was a cast-change operation, replacing Bill Cooper with controlled opposition. Alex is good at wacky. Attach that label to the truth and you've substantially reduced your opposition.

There is no conspiracy theory to 'Alex Jones' - he is not zionist agent, or on the payroll of any shadow group of ne'er-do-wells...
He is a guy who found out that you can make heaps of cash by lying and scaremongering to the gullible masses - and he has no conscience or qualms about doing it.
