Hidden in plain sight Bank of America.

Truth is hidden in plain sight, What part of Bank of America isn't clear any more? Their name is Bank OF America of meaning ownership of all moneys in America. By controlling the takedown of the 99 percent (being average working class with mortgages and bills), they have controlled the credit scores of millions by forcing people and small businesses into foreclosure. It is a vicious cycle and sooner or later the truth will come out. http://www.bankofamericafraud.com/

this is a stretch and gives a bad reputation to people that believe conspiracy is prevalent in our country

if you don't believe it, most likely you are a malevolent reptile from outer space who is aiding their consolidation of the world's wealth and power.

Thats what pisses me off about conspiracies. There are some i believe, and alot i think are just plain batshit insane. when i speak out against them, i am the one that's working for the government/illumnati/aliens.
seriously, what kind of community support is that shit? makes me less likely to believe in a conspiracy i don't believe in, but maybe its just the go-to thing they say when they run out of answers/have no evidence. kind of like christians that say "god works in mysterious ways"
anyways, i know you are making fun of it, but figured i would rant. feels good, man.

I understand, but my question is why are people ranting to other people to keep quiet about their conspiracy theories? Its a theory and people have their right. If you don't agree that's fine but lets not discourage people from asking questions and opening peoples eyes to what's going on in the world.

i understand what your saying, but a bank (which sucks) is named bank of america.. that is not a conspiracy. its simple.. theres corruption and fraud inside of the company. but a corporation that is already outed as being a shitty corporate monger being NAMED bank of america. you're simply not opening peoples eyes.. you're throwing out desperate stretches. i promote open discussion of conspiracy and im obviously subscribed to this page in which i support. but yours was shitty.. give me a downvote.. but if you do.. i bet you're the government and doing it so ill never get heard!!

Seems to me like that divide comes from the fact that if you simply state you do not believe in a particular theory, the people that do will mob up and try to force it down your throats. i personally would just rather them to shut the hell up than try to force it down my throat.
there are on occasion people (like the guy who made this thread) that does not seem concerned about forcing things down peoples throats.
Also, people that have obviously done no research coming up with their theories (nibaru is a good example) they have taken almost no time to research the subject, except from what their friends told them. They will sit and deny cold, hard facts. those guys reeallly irritate me the most, and seem to be the most prevalent here in /r/conspiracy, sadly.

I think it's a good theory.

Bank of America is a corporation not a federal institution. There is no federal banking institution in the USA. Any corporation has the single objective of making profits and usually disregard the people they serve whenever they can.

What is the Federal Reserve and its various Federal Reserve Banks, then? Just asking.
1 those_draculas 2011-11-09
The federal reserve is a regulated private entity with powers delegated from congress.
Not truly a government institution, not truly a private bank.
1 [deleted] 2011-11-09
Perhaps someone should tell them that, then.
1 those_draculas 2011-11-09
I don't get it. He's pretty much describing what the Fed is. It's a very complex institution in terms of what powers and protections it has, which is the reason why I think there are so many conspiracies about what the Fed does or can do; the room for misconceptions and cherry-picking on the purpose of an organization of the size or flexibility of the Fed is huuuuuge.
1 [deleted] 2011-11-09
You said "regulated". Greenspan said they answer to no one ... no one can overrule actions taken by the Fed. Period. And that is, sadly, the fact.

Or the name could be a vestige of the pride that immigrants felt when they came to America.

?
1 ImJulianAssange 2011-11-09
People use to LOVE America and everything about it including the name.
1 [deleted] 2011-11-09
They still do. Every January... around Superbowl time.
2 ImJulianAssange 2011-11-09
It may be that you spend too much time in r/conspiracy. This is a small sub/redditt on a rather insignificant website. I love the ideals of America as I love the ideals of Christianity. I know enough to realize that the ideals mask a sinister history. Most people don't. Most people love the ideals and have no idea of the true history and reality.
1 [deleted] 2011-11-09
Twice or three times a day, I browse through the garbage posted here and add a few comments.
The ideals have become the Orwellian doublespeak of the ruling class. I come here to remind people of that.

Oh like the native Americans loved it before the settlers came in and introduced war and smallpox, is that when people loved America? I guess I'm confused. My post is about a play on words and it relating to current events of Bank of America being cited for fraud. The founder was the child of Italian immigrants who started the bank based on his other bank Bank of Italy. But it is appropriately named Bank OF America because it is the center of all financial crisis in America's working class. And it being named the bank of America with America being in such financial straits it seems appropriately named.
4 ImJulianAssange 2011-11-09
People loved America because, despite slavery and genocide, it proposed freedom and equality. Many Americans still love America because they are ignorant or miseducated. You are confused. You are using your present day recognition of American reality and attributing an evil or malicious intent to the name of the bank. You are also, in my opinion, way off the mark with regard to it being "the center of all financial crisis in America's working class". I think you might want to consider the Federal Reserve Bank the real culprit. It even has an intentionally deceptive name. Second place might go to Goldman.
2 VanillaPudding 2011-11-09
yeah, I'm sure that is exactly what he meant. Such as the fact that all immigrants struggle to come to America because they hate it and want a terrible life.
facepalm
-1 TrollKat-y 2011-11-09
yeah not the point either...
1 [deleted] 2011-11-09
Could be. But I seriously doubt it. There's no evidence to suggest that the game of high finance has ever held any such values.
1 ImJulianAssange 2011-11-09
They just kept the name every time they merged. It is called marketing.
1 [deleted] 2011-11-09
Checking the facts. It was originally the Bank of Italy in San Francisco.
It's no more "American" than the Federal Reserve is "Federal".
1 ImJulianAssange 2011-11-09
It was incorporated in America by Americans. What is your definition of American?
1 [deleted] 2011-11-09
Didn't you just emphasize the difference between ideals and the sordid history behind them in a different comment?
Again, this is a question loaded with distinction between ideals and historical (ugly) facts.
1 ImJulianAssange 2011-11-09
I just noticed your user ID.
You originally posted something about the name of a bank that did not make sense to me. The name is a vestige of a time when nationalism was fervent and not a means of covertly stating some nefarious intent. Through all its incarnations the name was kept because it works to the banks advantage. The failings of America or of banking or of this particular bank were not part of the naming process.
Get some 100% Indica and one of these.
1 [deleted] 2011-11-09
Now you make sense.
Now you don't, for two reasons: 1) Indica is sleep-inducing, Sativa is what I'd prefer, and 2) I can't even afford US Government sprayed Mexican shwag, let alone 100% anything.
1 ImJulianAssange 2011-11-09
I was suggesting that you change your prescription and take it easy.
