Random anecdote: Finishing off one night at a music festival walking a girl to her camp about 5AM. I see a trench and think 'Fuck yeah, I can clear that jumping double footed'. I attempt it and go completely arse over tit. Walk her home, set off back to our camp (5 minutes), try to do the jump again and fall. Thought 'I'll just close my eyes for a second', then got up and stumbled back to camp to be met by my mate kicking off - "where the fuck have you been?"

Turns out it was about 7.30 AM and I had been asleep in the ditch for about 2.5 hours. Camping is fun.

What happens is when enough Youtube videos, email chains and blog posts circulate the MSM needs to do a piece or they will completely lose all legitimacy. Additionally, many of the reporters are slow, lazy and behind the times. They receive their news through official channels and their job is simply to speak the words in the regional dialect. So at some point the story comes out as damage control.
