Mitt Romney's company, Bain Capital, owns Clear Channel Communications

I just learned something rather disturbing about a presidential candidate that I already didn't like. Romney, as some of you may know, is one of the co-founders of Bain Capital (when he's not campaigning, he's one of the people at their helm). Bain Capital now owns Clear Channel Communications. This company owns over 850 radio stations in over 150 cities. There are over 238 million monthly listeners, according to their website. And this is only a fraction of their influence in the media world. I don't like Obama either, but if we have a president who co-owns one of the largest media broadcasting companies in the country, we're going to have an (even more) interesting time finding the truth.

The fact that all the right people are backing a candidate that seems like such a loser from a popular politics point of view has me perplexed and a little bit worried about this coming October. I think Obama has been a complete disaster but Romney could scare me into voting for him if I thought he had a real chance.

Yeah I don't think he has a chance at winning because there are too many Evangelical republicans who hate Mormons. I'm scared at the possibility of such a corporately powerful person being elected into such a high office. He's already in a high position which is scary enough.

Clear Channel the company that banned Imagine from the radio following 911.

I'm not sure. But they did "strongly suggest" that their radio stations not play any song that had certain words in it following 911, even if they didn't pertain anything to terrorism plots.

Apparently, Bain Capital is rather nefarious. Their wikipedia page doesn't have much about their controversies but it's easily google-able.

Bain Capital also open Burger King I believe.

Oh really? I do know that they own KB Toys, Burlington Coat Factory, Staples, Toys R Us, Sealy Mattresses, Guitar Center, Dunkin Doughnuts, Dominos Pizza.... Shit is bananas.
