My stomach is already turning at the thought of all the permanent hearing damage that they're gonna do with that damned LRAD. Because all other worries I have aside, it's a given that they're gonna be busting that thing out. But yes, I'm especially worried about the possibility of false flag attack. Who do you think they're going to put the blame on this time? Anarchists? Muslim extremists? Ron Paul?
edit: in case of a whoosh the Ron Paul bit was just a little joke.

It'll probably be a two pronged nuclear attack by "Iran" targeting Chicago and the USS Enterprise. I don't think Chicago will be hit though, the nuke will be shot down and fall into Lake Michigan. The Enterprise will be sunk though.

Yes, Iran. Why didn't I think of that, it will have to tie in to Iran. As stupid as they are they're not going to create too big a stir over something that won't ultimately benefit them. That's the next agenda, it is coming in one form or another it's only a matter of when. We can only hope that people stay vigilant and question everything they're told... Oh wait.

If "terrorists" kill a couple thousand Americans every ten or so years the endless war will be just that. Also I just read that Newport News Shipbuilding, the only company that builds carriers for the US, is in charge of dismantling the Enterprise. Imagine how much cheaper it would be to destroy it and build another carrier instead of dismantling one and building a new one.

My guess is domestic terror, anarchist scapegoats. Right now, the biggest threat to the power elite is the impending civil uprising. foreign enemies aren't going to cut the mustard this time, they blame it on us or our kids or our neighbors. the suspects will most likely look like a folk rock band. Plus with the majority of americans calling for cuts in defense spending and increases in domestic programs, it's twistedly logical to bring the war home. Foreign boogeymen aren't enough to keep the people passively trembling, he's coming home.

Although I have to agree, I don't think they will play this card yet. I say this because I don't think civil uprising is growing fast enough at the moment to be a real threat.

It all depends on what the media says. Keep the dumb dumb. edit for drunkenness

NN Shipbuilding part of the "military-industrial complex". It maximizes their profits to get to dismantle the ship; scuttling/destroying the Enterprise would COST the "MIC" taxpayer money that they've already contracted to get for dismantling it. It would only save the taxpayer money to destroy the USS Enterprise instead of dismantling it.

Didn't think about the MIC side to it, good point.

im going to say "home grown" terrorist. who don't want this foreign body in there country. so they can stomp there iron boots on us.
2 [deleted] 2012-05-18
But Iran doesn't have nukes yet. If they do that, it would be quite obvious that it is a false flag.

Another entry into /r/conspiracy's creative fiction writing workshop, I see? Nothing even remotely like this will occur this weekend (there will be small-scale unrest and agent provocateurs on the street). Some people on this board are just LARPing a creepy thriller film. And when it doesn't happen most will pretend they never got it wrong, and the rest will pretend they're heroes for stopping it.

You're probably right, but the US needs something to tip public opinion in favor of war in Iran.

According to google, yes.

Sounds as if they are turning Chicago into a potential war zone. The false flag opportunities are endless.

My family is out of the major cities for the weekend. I'm going to have them stay away for an extra day or two, just to be safe. Call me a nut, but I was in NYC during 9/11 and it's kind of marked my psyche.

Yeah like Downtown Waikiki area during the APEC summit last year. Your local businesses are going to lose money as customers will be deterred away from zoned off areas.

Idk, but I'm curious to see what the next huge issue is, if nothing actually happens at the NATO summit.

WHAT ABOUT THE RUSSIANS??
5 BadgerGecko 2012-05-18
Strange you mention the Russians. Said FBI approached the Russian Envoy Vladimir Vinokurov, the Consulate General of San Francisco before disappearing.
Probably nothing in it.

and the date 5/21, good odds.

Shit could get real, we'll just have to wait and see.

I am
I am worried about a real attack
Protests already starting
Bus loads of protestors brought in
Armed predator drones
Blackhawk helicopter highrise rooftop grabs
Operation red zone
DHS agents at bus and train stations
Red Cross evacuation plans
Over 60 world dignitaries and Obama in one place
1 [deleted] 2012-05-18
A few questions, I'm from Chicago, been away for awhile, moving back next week.
Have you seen federal agents at transportation depots or significant protest activity? Can you send me a link? Edit: Ok there are definitely wild things happening I found the links.
I agree that in the video of the UAV above Elgin it looked armed. Do you believe it was?
1 TheOven 2012-05-18
I think the drone is a hoax
I live too far from downtown to see much activity
Still scary stuff going on
2 swagen 2012-05-18
I'm going to go out on a limb here, guys... Nothing is going to happen. Nothing. You people are fucked.
2 LegioIXHispana 2012-05-18
To be honest, I do not think a False Flag attack will occur--too many people are watching and expecting it.
If you look at recent history, the more infamous "terrorist attacks" came out of the blue. Breivik, 9/11, OKC bombing, buring the Reichstag, etc. were all on "regular days."
1 9000sins 2012-05-18
Stay away from Chicago. Stay away from Illinois if you can help it.
1 Bret16 2012-05-18
I live in Illinois, so I'm screwed there.

false prophet, much?
1 nagdabbit 2012-05-18
set me free.

I wish south park would make an episode about this. It would be the best episode ever.
1 TheOven 2012-05-18
I would rather a "false flag" attack
I might survive that
A real attack scares me
