Fake food is terrible for you.

22  2012-08-28 by jngiowe73

Really, really terrible.

A month into a diet consisting of whole foods... And I have already lost 20-25 lbs.

Now I sit at 148-153 with probably 5-10 more lbs to lose (fat).

And I am so much happier now.

And you may want a multivitamin.

Waking up at 6 in the morning used to be hard now I can fully function quickly after waking.

In other news, breathing air is healthy for you.

Unless of course you live in the western hemisphere covered by chemtrails or in the global south near an industrial center.

good for you. I too am on this train.

Started a few years ago....watch " A beautiful truth " it talks about cancer cure that is related to an all raw food diet. The documentary is wonderfully done and made me a believer. I switched to all raw food. Do my best to avoid anything that chemists make. That includes meat.

I am going back to mother nature and the way man ate a million years ago. It works.

In the last 2 years since diet.

1 colds on raw food VS 15 colds eating normal american diet...soda, burgers etc.

My mind has never been clearer. I am an artist. My work has never been better and I have never been better at problem solving

I can work out and look great. Before on american diet...no matter what I did...I was fat and unhealthy looking. My stamina lasted a few minutes. I was 230 at my most. Now I am 170 and shaped like superman. My metabolism and my stamina are that of teenager...I am 35. I can just run for miles now and not feel it.

I don't think it is a conspiracy of food. But just dumb people not thinking about what they are making. To think that we can improve on mother nature's recipe for food....well...it is that stupidity that got us to this point in the world. Now everyone is trained to eat this food.

Here is a link i posted a while back to how my diet works:) Enjoy...it is a fun read.

MY LAZY RAW DIET

http://www.reddit.com/r/vegan/comments/v5gpm/my_lazy_raw_diet_a_must_for_guys_who_just_want_to/

Agreed. I've been eating really good for about 5-6 weeks now and keeping my calories under 2400 and I've gone from 330 to 305 with the help of exercise.

I've also been taking a multi-v, a bunch of B12, cordyceps mushrooms, fish oil and glucosamine, probiotics and this really delicious all-in-one shake called Vega One.

You literally are what you eat.

If you eat healthy things your body will rebuild itself with good things.

If you eat GMOs then your body will rebuild itself with genetic garbage.

Agreed. I was simplifying for the sake of readability.

Am I a douche? Yeah. A little.

You eat douches?

It's not a good diet.

I've been cutting back lately . . .

I agree but keep in mind natural doesn't immediately mean better for you, make sure to read the nutritional information and be skeptical of any food-products making bold claims.

Fresh produce doesn't have nutritional information on it. Organic, Non-GMO, Pesticide free produce is the only real food that is good for you.

Chinese Dietetics.

Agreed. But this is not a conspiracy.

There is still disinformation circulating related to dietary needs. Look at the HBO documentary "Weight of the Nation". Then look who paid for the flick; CDC, GlaxoSmithKline, etc. Real food isn't the message. Doctors are portrayed to prescribe drugs and surgery rather than proper diet and exercise which is NOT represented accurately by the food pyramid. Sounds like a conspiracy to keep us fat dumb and happy to me.

You're supposed to eat a proper diet and exercise anyway...why would the doctor have to prescribe that?

Because common sense and accountability are not present in our society.

Times are changing, think of next generation.

I'm a fan of vitamins.

I find a mega b vitamin taken before going to bed works well for me. I seem to wake up in a better mood with more energy.

Did you cut down a lot of your sugar? There's a fair amount in food generally but the big culprit can be drinks.

Killing sugar from you diet is probably the single most important thing you can do. And keep in mind, sugar isn't just the sweet stuff. Almost all forms of carbohydrates turn into sugar in your body. when its refined, your body can put the sugar straight into your blood stream, overloading your pancreas and liver, spiking your blood sugar. Eating fresh vegetables, while carbohydrates, take forever to digest and get sugar into your blood stream... keeping your blood sugar from spiking. Your liver will only process 23g of this stuff before it starts storing it as fat. Sugar is the primary culprit to our nations health problems (and maybe cigarettes).

It's an interesting subject, but actually AFAI am led to believe after watching Professor Robert Lustig's presentation 'sugar: the bitter truth' , not all carbohydrates or monosacharides are equally bad. Ironically it seems, the bad sugar is fructose and the ok sugar is glucose. fructose must be processed by the liver whereas glucose is metabolised without passage through the liver. Sucrose or common sugar is effectively a molecule of 50% glucose and 50% fructose , similar to high fructose corn syrup (there are different varieties of HFCS though)

He's an endocronologist and so his business is hormones , and he provides interesting information on the adverse hormonal effects of fructose.

Sugar is fake food ;)

this is true.

if it doesn't look like it came from something alive... i don't eat it... processed foods are absolutely awful for you. i've been doing this for about a year now... lost significant weight... the brain, the body, everything is operating on a significantly higher level than ever before in my life....

we are apes people, we should eat like gorillas in a zoo eat. its that simple. (minus the feces)

The closer it is to looking like the actual animal or plant it came from, the better it is for you (usually).

Watch the "Food Inc." documentary to head in the right direction.

This sounds stupid, but people are clearing their throats a lot more these days. Probably due to the processed shit they're eating.

I get chest congestion after eating canola oil.

When I drink protein whey + milk I get it also.

Something is fucked up.

Almost all canola oil (and vegetable oil for that matter) is GMO. Definitely worth avoiding as much as possible.

When I drink protein whey + milk I get it also.

You might want to Google BCM7.

Other scientists have found that BCM7 causes apnoea (breathing dysfunction) in adult rats and newborn rabbits that is analogous to sudden infant death syndrome in humans.

Avoid milk.

That must be it. Thank you I was unaware of what exactly was fucking me up.

What you eat has a profound effect on your health and well-being. When you are young you can tolerate, to some extent, crap processed foods with artificial ingredients, but when you get older, KFC or Pizza Hut or MacDonalds can kill you. It not only makes you fat and clogs up your arteries, but it steals your energy, gives you headaches, makes you feel dizzy and weak, makes you sleep too many hours and gives you chronic depression.

Hey congrats man, I started eating food only from a CSA last month and I've dropped 25lbs.

It suits the Powers That Be to keep the plebs fat, sick and stupid.

Blend your leafy greens with a vitamix or blendtec if you really want to get the most nutrients out of them.

The thing is though, what is whole foods? How do you know what to eat? Where do you find them at?

I would love to do that, but I just don't know what or where to buy

Do you eat potatoes, drink milk, eat cheese, eat breads? All terrible for you. The 4 basic food groups are a joke. 2 of them are not basic at all.

Drinking pastured (grass fed), raw milk is very good for you. Cheese and yogurt sourced from these animals is as well. I cannot tolerate any normal grocery store milk, not a drop. I can tolerate grass fed, unless I over do it. Pasteurization as well as feeding these animals an unnatural diet destroys the benefits dairy has for us.

The only milk humans should drink is HUMAN breast milk. Milk from a cow is bad for you no matter how it was raised or processed. So is any grain, we were not designed to eat grain. Corn is an invention. lol

WTF happened to this subreddit. You're a tool.

I get chest congestion after eating canola oil.
